A teenager in China has caused an outcry after selling his kidney to buy an
iPad2.
Xiao Zheng, 17, could not afford one of the new tablet-style computers that
are seen as symbols of wealth in China.

Well, you are right in part, and wrong in part.
(1) Please take notice that foreign companies,* whose plants do assembly and
whose Chinese employee are young, unskilled laborers, principally look to
"15-24 years old" (female in particular)--NOT older laborers. The number of
this age bracket started dropping precipitously in 2006 and is expected to
bottom out in 2016--the same bracket you observe TOWARD 2009.

With the government bail out of F2, finance market should be calmed down in
short term. Good or bad, I don't want to go to detail, but it is positive
for short term market for sure.
IMHO, the next focus market will quickly shift to is the corp earnings.
Investors will try to get a clue on how the inflation, the house slumps,
credit crunchs have impacted the company earnings for the past few months.

quarter loss than expected on slumping sales at its commercial and

blockade the English Channel, may signal a 25 percent slump in freight rates
next year.
The ships will unload 26 percent of the crude and oil products they are
storing in six months, adding to vessel supply and pushing rates for
supertankers down to an average of $30,000 a day next year, compared with $

March 1 (Bloomberg) -- Billionaire Warren Buffett said the U.S. residential
real estate slump will end by about 2011, predicting that’s how long it
will take demand for homes to catch up with the supply.

U.S. gasoline crack spread hits 9-month low2010-08-23 18:50:00 GMT (Reuters)
NEW YORK, Aug 23 (Reuters) - The crack spread on gasoline traded on the New
York Mercantile Exchanged slumped to a nine-month low on Monday as the end
of the summer driving season nears.
The crack spread for September RBOB gasoline against crude oil hit a low of
$4.07 a barrel, the lowest since hitting a low of $1.54 on Nov. 16, 2009. On
Friday, the crack spread had closed at $7.39, rising from $6.58 the day
before.

Hewlett-Packard Co.'s board authorized an additional $10 billion to buy
back its own stock.
The announcement came as H-P's stock has slumped 17% this month. Shares were

Tuesday is the COT cutoff day and PET likes to take actions when their
activities don't have to show up in COT immediately.
The interesting part is the bulk of today's sell-off started after CRIMEX
closed. That's not how a rigging is usually done, which is puzzling. May
be PET pulled off a new trick we've not figured out, or maybe silver went
up too fast and some weak hands took profits as the broad market slumped.

It may be counter-intuitive given the continuous slumps of the housing
market in the national level, I do see some investment values of real estate
