telling 的，就是看起来 spatial-temporal thinker 在 learn-to-read 向 read-to-
learn 转型的 3rd/4th grade decay point 的时候，读很多图书馆的阅读。
而有争议的说，这阶段 brain 可能在 re-training itself, 把 phonological-loop
based silent reading 转型成 super-scalar-(parallel)pipelines based silent

悉了,到圣诞夜时,很多喜欢唱歌的都会在翻唱论坛一展歌喉,好像没什么新鲜了.但我这
首翻唱有点特别.这是个三声部的大合唱,都是由我一个人演唱完成了,很多人问我是不
是靠电脑的特技完成的,意思就是我唱了一遍后,用电脑软件转成了所谓的大合唱,那么
我很肯定的告诉你,我不是这样完成的.这种技术我不知道有没有,也没学过.我的大合唱
是靠自己一遍一遍唱了录下来的, 唱一遍就录下了一轨(one track) . 三个声部有主旋
律,第二声部和第三声部.每一个声部都各唱了约10轨,那么我一共唱了30多轨了,换句话
说Silent Night我唱了30多遍才能合在一起产生大合唱的效果。这里对唱歌的要求不低
的，一遍遍地唱要唱整齐了，不然会乱。三个声部，主旋律有了，大家都熟悉，第二声
部我是从网上找来的，就是靠耳朵听记下旋律来的，第三声部我是自己写的，因为已经
有了主旋律和第二声部，写第三声部就不容易了，不能和其它的声部打架，还要和谐。
所以这个制作真是花了很多的心血的。

2010听了很多英文歌，发现自己最爱的类型还是摇滚。要选出最喜欢的一首其实很不容
易，就贴首我最近听的最多的吧。
The Killers这支band的曲风是另类摇滚，Tranquilize并不是他们最出名的曲目，我是
偶然看到一个用Tranquilize做的fan video，才知道这首歌的。结果越听越喜欢，欲罢
不能。尤其喜欢副歌的合音部分，高声部的那个尾音很迷幻，比如这句“Silently
reflection turns my world to stone.” 歌里还有一段童声，结尾那段又是另外一种
风格，使得整个作品充满变换，但又风格明显。歌词也非常出色，不仅听着顺耳，而且
有可以深挖掘的意义，现实如幻境但最终不得已的清醒。但我觉得倒数第二句点的太明
显了，其实，政治意味稍淡一点会更好，给人更多解读的空间。

我是在voltage clamp条件下（－80mv及＋40mv）记录EPSC，溶液用的是大部分都用的
胞外溶液外加picrotoxin以block掉GABAergic neurotransmission，那个我们实验室一
直用，应该没什么问题，osmolarity 在305－310之间，电极液用的是CsCl溶液，加入
了TEA, QX-314，以便block K＋和Cl－通道，然后用了比较高的EGTA做Ca buffer，因
为我不需要看plasticity，实际上是希望能避免掉plasticity发生。osmolarity是275
，ph7.3，这些也是文章上用的配方，我感觉应该没什么问题。
我的记录方式是，现在－80mv条件下刺激产生一个清晰稳定的EPSC，过数分钟感觉比较
稳定了之后开始降低刺激强度（调整刺激输出电流），知道到某个点刚刚刺激产生一个
单个的突出反应，或者没反应，连续刺激就会有时候产生反应（通常是单个的），有时

一首在海外华人当中引起轰动的英文诗：你们究竟还要不要中国人活？
以下这首英文詩，相傳是出於紐約州立大學水牛城分校榮譽退休
物理學教授 Duo-Liang Lin 的手筆。這位华裔
學者表達的是整個中華民族的百年憤慨 ───过去中国人由于民穷國弱倍受列强
欺凌，如今好不容易经济起飞却
又倍受西方的打压敵視。中國人究竟做了什么？为甚麼无论怎么做都不對？你們西方人
究竟想不让中国人生存？
究竟希望我們怎樣生存？
這首詩近期在海外华網熱傳，原因是它反映了华裔在海外
被白种人种族主义打压的生態，抒發了海外華裔長
期以來遭受的集體壓抑。
该詩原文以英文撰寫，曾经在《華盛頓郵報》刊登，是海外华人回击西
方主流社会雙重標準打压以及西方种族
偏見的一箭。

TEMPE, AZ
Tempe警方说，亚利桑那州立大学的一位优秀学生星期天晚上在ASU校园附近被枪击，周
一早上去世。
调查人员说，21岁的Zachary Marco从图书馆走回家的路上，两名男子抢劫并枪杀了他。
“我不知道他到底做了什么导致这个”，他的父亲Daniel说， “我认为他仅仅只是在
走路而已。”
他的家人说Daniel是一个聪明的前途光明的年轻人。
Daniel说，他的儿子作为一个去年在亚利桑那州参议员页面里面服务的人，在校学习政
