比如D-modules, sheaf of modules over differential operators on scheme. 考
虑category of quasi coherent D-modules on P^1. 恩，这个玩意显然是可以从local
的glue到global的，也就是说，如果想看“清楚”这个粘differential operators是怎
么样
的，那就开始具体算在两个open sets(A^1)上，这个algebra of differential
operators是什么样的，(两个First Weyl algebra)，然后算intersection上的，然后
定义
出那个transition isomorphism,然后沿着这个isomorphism 粘上去。恩，这样很清楚
不过从另一个角度来说，这实际上是由于没“看清楚”这个D-modules到底是个什么玩

代数几何在1900年以前,已经有了代数曲面的部分理论和代数曲线上的Riemann-Roch定
理,但是语言和概念处于一个混乱的状态.在1950到1965年间出现了三个巨大的革命.奠
定了代数几何的秩序描述了重要的问题,提供了未来发展的方向.她们是Hodge(加一堆人
)开创复几何, Kodaira的三大工作和Grothendieck的抽象语言及新定义(问题):

英国邦瀚斯拍卖行(Bonhams)2日通过电子邮件告知中新网记者，两件圆明园流失文物已
被所有者收回，不会参与邦瀚斯将于11月8日举行的中国艺术品拍卖会。
邦瀚斯拍卖行亚洲艺术品部主管科林·希夫(Colin Sheaf)发表声明称，邦瀚斯从
未想过要冒犯中国人民，并对此事在中国引起的负面影响表示遗憾。
近日，邦瀚斯拍卖行在其网站上宣布，将于11月8日举行一场中国艺术品拍卖会，
其中的拍品包括两件圆明园文物，分别是“清嘉庆白玉镂雕凤纹长宜子孙牌”和“清乾
隆青玉雕仿古兽面纹提梁卣”。邦瀚斯拍卖行还在其网站标明这两件文物的“出身证明

It happened at around 4 am when he was on his way to work to deliver
newspapers. He had a flat tire on Route 22. He was replacing his flat tire
when another driver, apparently with DWI, struck him from behind.
It's said he left with no money, less than $100 in the bank.

冷的时候北大可是给了他温暖， 说不定没有一份温暖， 他早就死在了美国。 看看这
个就没有那么幸运了
应该说张益唐也算是lucky的
他很有才华，还能逆境中坚持。
但是这个世界上也有很多像他一样有才华，也坚持的人，最后却没能开出花，结出果来
下面这位也是数学的留学生，大概和张益唐算是同龄人

张益唐， 找不到工作， 北大校长丁石孙邀请他回北大工作。。。
蒋国兵（？）， 清华加拿大跳桥的， 第一次回国， 据说清华副教授， 自己又跑出来
， 到帝国主义国家找死。。。
别的例子我就不举了。 浙大似乎跳楼一个， 清华北大我还真没有见国家亏欠多少。。
清华颜出国， 开始怀念清华食堂， 早有人预料她会怀念国内拿到手软的科研经费。。
。 北美的确工资高， 可是也不能给她一个人开高工资， 别的清华教授喝西北风， 是
不是。。
别人抱怨可以， 但是张益唐这个岁数的， 没有比中国共产党更尊重他们的了。 都是
赌气， 牛逼， 不顺心的时候如果不是运气好得象张益唐，基本都烂到沟里了。
应该说张益唐也算是lucky的

说几个和监狱有关系的事情，做数学这个东西的确不同于很多学科，只要有一个场所可
以供以静坐，有纸笔可以演算，这个世界的一切都无所谓。
最最著名的故事就是关于Leray的事情，他是法国Bourbaki学派的创始人之一。最初的时
候，他做的是分析，在流体力学和力学方面卓有贡献。后来二战爆发，Leray作为法国的
军官参战，40年的时候，被德国人抓到了集中营里。德国人在战争方面对于科技的重视
使得他们对每一个数学家和物理学家都是很关注的，而Leray做的是分析，很有可能被德
国人关起来去做各种各样的用来杀人的弹。为了避免这件事情的发生，他就以代数学家
自居，在狱中的时候依然努力的做研究，出狱的时候，发表他的那套对后世影响至深的
层论（Sheaf Theory）。
还有一个关于S.Lie的传说，这个人就是李群的那个Lie.S.Lie当年普法战争的时候呆在

发帖数: 7653 | 32 代数几何，关键是搞懂一些例子吧。不懂抽象的东西实际上是不懂具体的例子
搞懂coherent sheaves on P^1（naive),P^2（这个例子是simple but not naive). 里
面的各种construction，都仔细算出来，并不难吧，多项式环的东西人人都会算吧。
Roughly speaking,个人感觉代数几何就是 linear algebra + sheaf(descent)，如果
考虑更常见的:i.e. coherent sheaves on smooth noetherian quasi projective
variety.那就是finite dimensional linear algebra了。只要“精通”线性代数，耐
心捯饬，总能搞清楚
不过感觉时间不好说，代数几何学了好多年了，感觉自己“真懂的”东西还很少，一般
都是看一篇文章，算一个东西，用到了就去翻Hartshorne，以前耗费了一些时间去“钻
”这本书，现在觉得没什么必要，看过的玩意只要不用就忘了，没忘也没真懂。
