如果你3年以内没有100%把握拿下博士，就不要读。
我自己有博士学位，但是劝你不要盲目读博。
国内父母不了解美国的情况，他们还停留在本本主义，学历至上论。
其实美国读博，是个复杂的问题，以下逐条分析。
一. 为什么读博？
从最实际的角度出发，无非有3个原因，
1,工作需要博士学位。
比如教授，院士，科研杂志审稿人。学术圈子，博士头衔是必须的。但是也就仅仅限制于学术界。非学术是不需要的，比如公司，明确要求需要博士学位的工作极少。
2.为了EB1a，第一类优先绿卡，比普通绿卡快4到5年。

（2）厚度。有normal和counter depth（即shallow depth）两种。shallow的容量小，
贵，但是美观。
（3）高度。一般都是70。但是有些四门冰箱会更高些。
（4）即使是french door。也有可能是2门（左右），3门（左上，右上，下），4门（
即一个田字形状）。价格是2<3<4
（5）icemaker和water filter一般冰箱都有，区别在于是dispenser在门上，还是在冰
箱内。在门上的贵。
（6）冷冻和冷藏的大小比例。即使总容量一样，有的冰箱会冷藏部分大些或小些。
（7）是不是声音太响。

老实说，马工上班一万年，基本层面的一招鲜吃遍天的 deep knowledge，到图论（及其
延伸），也就差不多了。（PHD的岗位培训手册先不谈）。shallow knowledge 的话，
需要时 google 一个。将来就算 Google 倒闭，也会有 Zoogle 出现的，说不定还
更智能。基本不会因为 shallow knowledge 而哭晕在厕所的。 |

可是家人和几乎所有朋友都反对我回去.老婆一听到我说回去就要崩溃.主要原因是小孩
教育问题,收入问题,和国内压力问题.现在收入大概$140K,回去收入大概是相同数量的
RMB,单位是科学院的研究所,要自己去争取经费,很累.老婆坚持认为回去的大都是在米
国待不下去的,象我这这种情况回去的一定是脑残了.
可是米国不是我的国家,这种感觉与日俱增.现在有一种倦鸟知归的想法,那里有我无数
的朋友和亲人,可以孝敬父母,即使天天挤地铁也觉得好期待.
现在不知道如何说服老婆回去,不想强迫她回去,想和她一起高高兴兴的回去.

日本是一个古怪的国度：数不清的人向它学习过，但是后来选择了与它对立的
原则；数不清的人憧憬着投奔过它，但是最终都讨厌地离开了它。它像一个优美的
女人又像一个吸血的女鬼；许多人则深爱之后，或者被它扯入灭顶的泥潭深渊，或
者毕生以揭露它为己任。
为什么呢？
我不知道其中太深的东西。
百年以来，两度侵略战争过后，尽管那么多的亲日派还活着，尽管一代代地在
青年中被培养出了那么多的媚日派，做为中国的基本舆论和心态的一个外现，是人
们对日本的普遍的反感。今天，简单地说，我欣赏中国人对日本的这种反感，哪怕
是嘴上的不服气。
这不科学，也不认真，但是多少有着一点正义。
是否应该认真一些地归纳一次呢？我觉得应该也有必要。如果对于一个国家的

我不是研究教育的，只不过看到了帖子，有些时间就也说说。个人感受就是美国的教育
个人得到的就是尊重，平等。越是出名，受人尊重的人非常尊重他人的，不会拿别人的
短处说长说短。
同样的事情或者同样表达的意思，用不同的方法去表达完全是不同的效果。这教育的方
法，就像学校里吸收的知识，刚入门的就是多，面广，和浅，如果要更深层次，只能是
grad school, 或 phd, 就是非常非常专门的研究。就像以前跟老师说，花了我半天的
问题，你为什么那么快就解决了难题。 他说，我比你大，经验比你多，你觉得难那是
因为你刚刚接触到这些东西，不熟悉，这东西我做了几十年了。
以上的意思，如果是中国人的，就会说我老当然比你厉害了，你这小毛孩。。连这都不

发帖数: 2995 | 43 Bass周日顶住重重压力还是来同钓，同时带来了fly rod，志在飞上小嘴让委座请吃海
鲜包肥。
很久没有下雨，河水水位比春季水位低3尺，水色gin clear，水温56度。气温58-70度
，西南偏西风15-20mph。cloudy到partly sunny，气压30in平稳。昨天的毛毛细雨根本
也没有给产卵场带来任何水位上升。低水位加清水是很难钓的。产卵场根本没水，只过
脚背。于是转战上游10mi的主河道我的自留地。
水还是照样清浅。第二投上来了今天第一条鱼，16寸，会跳。Bass勤快地甩着fly。很
神奇的fly，靠眼睛配重。
之后开始显现tough，第一个mid river ledge点没鱼了。开始慢慢mover shallow，钓
了一个elevation drop上游，这个是一流的秋冬标点，早春应该也是很厉害的，但是今
天的情况没有咬口。水还是太清了。继续move shallow，rock flat-pool-rock flat
标点，只是flat全在水面上。但是水色stained，和Bass嘀咕这里有鱼。第二投，噔噔

Profile（Size），Depth，Speed，Vibration，Color，都是因数，不是三言二语能说
得清楚的。要看地方季节，有的地方就是软饵的天下，Crankbait上鱼是求不来的。用
多Crankbait后会发现有一或二个特别骁勇善战。
Crankbait分类：
Lipless,Shallow(1-3),Medium-Shallow(3-5),Medium(6-8),Medium-Deep,(8-12)Deep(
12-20+).有静音吵音，方头，圆头，棺材头，有圆胖，有狭长，有扁平，有多节，有浮
水，有悬浮，有微沉。说大了，Hard Jerkbait，Hard Swimbait也是属于Crankbait之
列。
KVD说了，平稳收线效果不好，中间要混合变速，变向，暂停，抽拽。Crankbait要撞击
障碍物才更有效，哪怕抓一点点草也好。 |

发帖数: 66 | 47 新手，大概去年开始断续开始钓鱼，到目前为止一共钓了不到10次。上的都是些小
sunfish，bluegill之类，没巴掌大。我的target是上Largemouth bass。
这个夏天从上个月初开始钓，连续空军了三次（都是周末去的），看人家上鱼眼馋，但
是自己这边一个bite都没有，真的是literally 一个bite都没有，然后还损失了一个
rapala shallow shad，以及一些power bait，背上露钩子的那种
我们常去的钓点是在Quabbin reservior北边的fishing area 2， 没船，全是岸钓。
常去点 A: GPS： 42.522328,-72.295557。
或者 B： GPS: 42.520162,-72.295278
点A西边是片水草区，那边小湾和这个河口处都有水草，水深最深应该是15尺内（饵能
扔到的最深的地方），点A东边深一些，应该是在25尺内，似乎没有水草，只有靠岸边
一些稀疏类似荷叶之类的东西
点B，如果用google terrain，你会看到一个圆形的类似泄洪口之类，实际上那个是一

如果只分shallow cranking 和 deep cranking的话，那shallow cranking需要一只6
’6 ~7 尺之间的fast action的M杆子。 这只杆子能玩的东西很多了，应该就是你说的
versitile杆子。所有的top water你都可以考虑用它玩（top water一般用mono线，
cranking一般用fc线，所以这里有点尴尬），另外可以用它小号的spinnerbait， 玩轻
量级的德州，甚至小号的jig（<3/8）都没问题。 但是这个M fast是很难界定的。有些
公司的杆子硬，有些做的软，你最好自己把玩过再决定。
deep cranking 属于比较专业的玩法了。 7'6 ~ 8尺， MH~H的杆子， Moderate Fast~
