加州公路巡警负责人Sgt. Saul Gomez表示，事发时，总理车队中一名摩托车警员
正在总理的座驾前方骑行，试图截停距离图书馆不远处一条公路上的所有车辆，以便为
车队开道。不巧，有一部车在左转时，与警员的摩托车相撞。
车上的女司机以及她的一名孩子也被送往医院。
