university) too much? The teaching load for the first 2 years is 1 course
per semester but after that it will be 2 coursers per semester.
Got an offer, everything looks good (location, school ranking, etc) but the
normal 2-course teaching load seems to be too much.
Will appreciate your opinions. |

我们州的要求只有 24 semester hours in accounting and
24 semester hours in general business subjects，我已经有accounting的master
degree了，学位要求修48个学分，我修了45个，另外3个学分waive掉了，因为本科时修
过类似的。
我这种情况可以参加cpa考试么？还用做评估么？

2 courses per semester in the engineering field will keep a faculty fairly
busy, that is for sure. Not much time left to do research and write
proposals.
Actually many I know just teach one course per semester, or 3 per year (2/1)
. Buying out one is possible if having decent fundings, but funding is hard
to get these days.
My office-mate was a professor in a fairly famous school but he quit right
after he got the tenure and went back to industry. The primary reason is
that he "hates" students/ |

of course, if it is also 2+2 for quarter system, then it is better, but as
far as I know, the load is typically 2+2+2 |

。但是要小心有些用人单位的陷阱,有的只是在报税忙季请些学生来用用,过后就不理不
睬的.因此现在到10月15期间所看到的都应慎重.
另外一个方法，可以现在就申请OPT，但是OPT只能使用一次的，即你MASTER期间及毕业
后只有一次OPT机会,如果你现在申请使用掉了,等你毕业后就不可以再次申请OPT了,除
非转专业继续学习...
