In the past, I never participated in betting on course, because I thought I
had enough stress already and golf was to relax. There were times that other
people playing with me betting small money with each other and I did not
get involved. I did feel that I was left "out" in such cases.
When I played this round, I knew I would put the scorecard here so I started
with some sort of strategy -- be conservative. The birdie on #6 changed

7 个 penalty
第四洞第二杆 3w layup 进左边 lateral hazard, unplayable lie;
第七洞用 5i (scorecard 上没写对)开球, shank 进右边 canyon 丢球, 重开又 hook
到左边坡上 unplayable lie, drop 后在长草里面, 再加两杆上岭, 此洞 +4
第十洞 又是用铁杆开球, 然后中间有一条沟, 果然进沟, 然后 drop
第十二洞, 开球打薄, 球落在 rough 里面, 铁杆 hook 进左边 超级 rough, 又是
unplayable lie
第十五洞, 也是要 carry 一个 canyon, 两次进沟, 此洞也 +4, scorecard 上一个黑
黑 的 9 好难看
中间还 shank 过几次, 不记得哪个洞了, 没丢球而已.

很好.
只是我在酸奶公司的工作还没有那么 technical.在不到三个月实习期间，我只是用
excel整理公司产品包装材料的年消耗量和成本，还帮公司填写了walmart sustainable
packaging scorecard.最后和另外一个intern合作给这个酸奶公司制作了自己的的
sustainable packaging scorecard，用于他们每年自我评估产品包装材料的
sustainability。其实感觉自己做的东西更接近corporate social responsibility~
因为除了环境工程，我的另外一个学位是侧重在 life cycle assessment, 当时找实习
的时候也没有在简历中提到环境工程的学位。
真不知道这样的实习经历能不能帮我毕业在美国找到工作~估计环境咨询公司大概不会
看重这种不technical的实习经历吧。 |

素要掺杂其中，尤其是var很多的情况下。什么chi-square、correlation、iv都要用到
来尽可能的排除掉redundents。别人我不清楚，我做scorecard的时候，
multicollinearity是大概花精力最大的一部分 |

我其实不知道如何定义entry-level。现在明确说找entry-level的职位很少。有一些，
但绝大部分都是说要几年经验。如果说需要n years industrial experience或者n
years of experience in financial industry的，确实更不容易拿到面试。不过还是
可以投投试试。但是有一些职位是说有n years of (statistical) modeling
experience，大家尽管去投，希望更大些。
其实我投的很多职位说是要industrial experience，但也给面试。75k对一个PhD并且
有统计建模经验的人我不好说太低，但是确实也不是太难拿到。80k左右的居多吧。我
的offer是90+k的base，而且这是在一个消费不太高的城市。
大家找工作之前还是要把基本的东西搞清楚。主要还是基本的东西，multiple linear
regression, logistic regression, 统计的的基本概念。time series, survival

发帖数: 3942 | 16 在logistic regression在应用之前，银行的scorecard(评分表)其实就是简单地把申请
人的资料逐项打分(itemized and score)，最后看看相加的总分是否超过了阈值。评分
表也不仅仅是在银行里用，social/medical/psychological research也很常见。评分
表的最重要的性质是每项分数的可加性，而我们都知道概率一般是不可加的(除非
underlying events are mutually exclusive)，只有log odds有很好的可加性，也恰
好对应了logistic regression里面beta的意义。这是为什么logistic regression实际
应用非常广泛的原因，也是score应该是log odds的线性变换的原因。
具体到楼主的这个问题，要看阿三这个model的应用是否需要itemized scorecard的存
在。如果不需要的话，确实没必要转换成score，直接用probability即可。如果每个
segment的sampling weights是一样的话，当然可以直接一起用。 |
