polymer in water from water in polymer system. In my case, it is Nafion
ionomer.
Some groups think even in dry state, Nafion still has the polymer in water
structure. I think it is weird. As the Babinet priciple states: due to the
autocorrelation property of scattering, we cannot tell the positive or negtive
image. So A in B case will give the same scattering as B in A.
Am I right? |

I would also like to using different colors to differentiate whether that

scattering。
个人理解,diffration更强波的概念,scattering则更多强调个体(比如单个电子或光
子)的behavior,尤其是inelastic effect存在的时候。比如说,XRD关心的是反射光
形成的pattern所反映的点阵结构,而Raman谱则反映能量由于非弹性效应引起的变化。
当然,wave和个体之间是有联系的。 |

My suggestions, based on my 5+ years experience in this field:
The solutions are greatly affected by the size parameter (=2pi*r/lamda) of
your spheres.
If you know the positions of each sphere, and if the size parameters of the
spheres are much larger than ~50, use ray tracing to get the total scattered
field. See Andre Macke's papers. Search "Michael Mishchenko" on google, then
on his web page you'll find links to codes and papers.

进过来的。因为民用的mercury vapor lamp的外层玻璃是要阻止UV radiation的,而这
个灯泡仅仅是在民用灯泡的基础上,把外层玻璃改成了UV transmitting的玻璃。
我现在的问题有两个:
1.对于实验室的photometer,光源经过filter过滤后,我最后只能得到436nm和546nm两
种波长的光源。这两种波长都是高于紫外线的波长,那么是不是说明,我用普通的

but if you worry about Rayleigh, regardless what geometry is used (back
scattering, forward scattering, 90
degree), the Rayleigh scattering is usually many many times stronger than

faculty来说可以算是很牛B了,但是对于老方这种senior的已经搞了一辈子的人来说,
就只能算so so。不要说是院士,离aps fellow的级别也还差了不少。引用率最高的一
篇文章还是95年到了arizona之后跟老外合作的,被引118次,这也是方唯一一篇被引用
上百次的文章。可见方励之89之前确实没有做出过什么重要的工作,他的名声和地位绝
对是靠政治得来的,当然其中部分的也是80年在中国搞科普所得,必须承认科普工作也是
有重要的社会意义的。
(BTW,有人说你这个搜索未必完整。不错,确实不能保证100%毫无遗漏。但是我

clusters in solid. Structure factor is always the killing factor.
I think the incoherent scattering is not a big issue. He can always treat it
as a fitting parameter since incoherent scattering is always the same at

事实上70年代是洛杉矶空气污染最为严重的时期,著名的洛杉矶烟雾,是大气化学研究
中的重要课题,到现在也是。
相比国内各大工业城市以含硫煤燃烧引发的大气污染(这也有个名字:伦敦型烟雾),
洛城的空气污染主要是含氮氧化物所至。因为这种微粒不比硫化物那样对大气中的水那
么有亲和力,所以微粒不会在大气中生长得很大,因此基本上不会影响到城市的能见度
(要知道,干净的空气中也必须要有一定含量的各种微粒的,这些微粒对降水的形成非
常重要)。 但是氮氧化物在强烈的太阳照射下,会形成强氧化性的臭氧或者原子氧,
这才是呼吸道疾病的真凶!
