看了很多说negotiation salary的问题，我说几句我的看法。
最理想的，人家一开始问你前，你就应该做好所有的research和homework,查清楚所有
能查到的网站信息，估计出这个职位的市场价以及他们可能的budget.在回答的时候，
不要怕要的高，如果你有信心并且作了调查。一口坚决地说出去，老美一般都会觉得很
正常。如果要得低，人家反而会疑惑。这人是不是真材实料。对拿到offer不利。
如果没做好调查说低了，拿到offer后最好不要negotiate。这样很不职业，至少反映一
个问题，你之前没仔细research过，而且会让人觉得你出尔反尔。没有诚信。是非常有
害的，即使不会丢掉offer,也会被人看低。
我觉得很多老中的问题是，面试前自贬身价，思维惯性是先拿到offer,然后再谈钱，老
美不是这种想法

PS，一开始的salary其实也不低，
只是听说这职位很难promotion
估计好几年内salary都会一个水平，
所以才有motive要高一点pay |

my way is : whatever they offered, I will ask 10% or so increase. No matter
what they will response, I will accept it without asking more.
any thoughts?
for an example: offer 60000, I will say, "could you please increase the
salary to 65000? " if they say no, or say can only increase 2000...I will
accept it. |

check,就会给我发正式offer. 但是这时候其他公司肯定还不会有任何结果。 这种情况
我是先跟这家公司说需要一些时间考虑，还是先negotiate salary然后再说需要时间考
虑。如果先谈salary,然后不马上决定，好像不太好。如果先给时间考虑，然后其他公
司没有得到offer,这个公司也就失去了negitiate的砝码。

很多公司location差一点，costliving很低，base不比Seattle，加州纽约的低很多，

but was quite unhappy about the delay of the starting date. It was
originally planned as late as the end of this month. Now the best case would
be end of August.
Does the internal center did something wrong? I have never heard before that
there is such a high salary requirement for posdoc. |
