am concerned, metal is just rock’s pissed off younger brother. As a
budding teenager discovering heavy music, my gateway was hard rock with a

，垂直落差604米，顶部有大约625平方米的平台。从远处看去，非常壮观, 而走到近
处，站在布道石平台上，俯瞰峡谷中的吕瑟峡湾(Lysefjord)，几乎是挪威的名片。美
国有线电视新闻网（CNN）旗下的旅游及生活网站CNNGO，评出全球50处最壮丽的自然景
观，布道石名列首位.
计划挪威行程的时候，The pulpit rock就是俺特别特别想去的一个景点，为此还特意
在the pulpit rock的旁边订了旅馆。看完了bergen, 我们转天早上一路南下经过
stavanger，一路坐了3次car ferry, 终于开车来到了the pulpit rock的脚下。从布道
石的parking lot走到山顶的trail长约3.8公里 with a difference in altitude of
1082ft, 但坑爹是这个trail有3个非常明显的上坡，走起来多少有些吃力。看下图：

is a fatality！ 团队为什么没有立即 setup z-drag? 如果ranger 不及时赶到的话怎
么办？如果真的发生underwater pin 怎么办？团队里有没有rescue jacket? 有没有训
练过 live bait rescue? 建议核心队员都参加swift water rescue course, 这些内容
都会教并练习的。Encourage more people to take a CPR course, which would make
the river safer for everyone.

非常喜欢电影“最后的莫希干人”， 尤其影片最后的一段。 前一阵在youtube上
复习这段时非常惊艳于影片中景色的美丽， 于是好奇是在哪里拍摄的， 一查发现其实
离这里并不远， 就是Ashville附近的Chimney Rock Park的Hickory Nut Falls。
Ashville的Biltmore名气很大， 很多人都去过或者计划去。 这个公园离Ashville不到
半个小时， 很值得顺便去一下。 Biltmore我们以前已经去过，这次是小孩放春假决定
去南卡的Charleston玩， 而Ashville正好在去的路上， 于是当然把这个早以心向往之
的公园放到旅行的计划里。
Chimney Rock其实是一个风化成柱状的巨石， 据说在上面可以看到75英里之远。 从停

发帖数: 132 | 21 周末借到 Rock Band, 花了半天时间通关了 Guitar Normal 难度. 因为我的 360
在卧室，临时也凑不齐四个人，就根本没有麻烦把鼓搬回家，基本上是把
Rock Band 当做新版的 Guitar Hero 来玩了.
感想: Rock Band Guitar 部分的 Normal 难度明显低于 Guitar Hero 1 & 2,
而且五十多首曲子从头到尾难度没有明显提升。弹了 20 多首Normal后意识到这点，
于是切换到 Hard 来玩，结果头五首 hard 曲子也是在 90% 以上的 hit rate
下一次过， 后来想急着看通关画面，不想把 Normal 弹过的那二十多首重新弹一
遍，就切换回了 normal.
Rock Band 的 Guitar 虽然号称有两组共十个按钮，但实际上和 Guitar Hero 2
的五键吉他是完全等价的。Guitar Hero 2 for 360 的 Guitar 可以直接在
Rock band 上用， Rock Band Guitar 在靠近琴身附近多出来的五个按钮实际
上功能和上面的五个按钮完全一样，说明书上说是为了照 |

Starved Rock State Park在Illinois，跟Iowa隔着密西西比河，但距离四城也就是一
个半钟的路程，就算在四城的景色吧。那位说了，这是公然强占的行为，哎，这么说不
好听，读书人的事儿怎么能说是强占呢，只能说是暂借。
沿着I-80一直往东，从四城开出去大概70miles，就到了Starved Rock State Park。这
个公园出名的是小瀑布特别多，但是，也算是欺名盗誉吧，今天到了那里才发现这个季
节没有水。要看瀑布的话，得初春的时候去。不过，Visitor Center的老先生很诚恳地
告诉我，去trail走一走，会有收获的。走下来发现，确实不虚此行，至少给下次来拍
秋色探探路。
公园里有些小山，都是土山，没有西南的石头山那种气势。但是，trail搭了许多的木

发帖数: 693 | 28 几天前就得知不少鱼友赶渔汛，不断去Flat Rock Dam钓鲥鱼。昨天天气很好，有几位
鱼友说河水很浅，可以看见鲥鱼密密麻麻地排在河底，人也很多，岸上站满了，还有鱼
警时时刻刻盯着，收获都不错。
我今天下午抽空去看了一下，75号highway几乎直达，到Flat Rock Dam的时候下午四点
多。因为阴雨大风的原因，水流比较急，看不见鱼了，钓鱼的人也不多，没有看见鱼警
。正好碰上几位鱼友收工准备回家，其中一位昨天钓了50条，今天又钓了10几条，只留
了两条。见到我之后，简单地介绍了鱼情，说是一天不如一天，看来渔汛已经接近尾声
，并把那两条送给我。
这下好了，立即鉴定一下到底是什么鱼，赫然发现上鳍的后面有一条很长的小辫子！图
示箭头处。Gizzard Shed确定无疑，我们这里彻底与american shed无缘了。。。。
当我把这两条鱼拿上车的时候，有个老美提醒我不可以拿别人钓的鱼，朋友也不可以，
要吃Ticket的，后来我就放了这两条鱼。
这个Flat Rock Dam坐落在Huroc Park之中，只是一个很矮小水坝，还是把鲥鱼全挡在

周末开了几个小时，中午到达了Smith Rock，主要是参加人家举行的AAC Craggin'
classic的活动，晚上在Depot吃饭和看新出的攀岩电影。不过主要是攀岩。
话说第二次户外，indoor的话，我这个beginner只尝试到5.7，这次户外，都只在离营
地最近的Rope de Dope Rock玩。尝试了Rope De Dope crack (5.8)，到了一半的转折
点就放弃了，完成了North Slab Crack (5.5),再搞了搞旁边的how low you can go? (
5.7),基本上我这个酱油党的攀岩周末就此结束了。
园内都是攀岩的胜地，对上一次去还走了misery trail, 看了monkey face。 |

time to go climbing on real rock since beginning of this year. After two or
three outings per month, finally get very comfortable on real rock. Before
that rock is harsh and cold compared to the plastics in the gym, now I
really feel bounding with the rocks.

landing location.
As for the broken handhold, the climbing day was warm & sunny, in perfect
condition, but the previous day was raining hard. The sandstone in Red Rocks
needs at least 24 hours to dry out back to good condition. I fear that this
had something to do with the accident. The rock quality in Red Rocks is not that

返回可以走不同的trails. Metro能到动物园.

发帖数: 586 | 47 Starved Rock State Park在Illinois，跟Iowa隔着密西西比河，但距离四城也就是一
个半钟的路程，就算在四城的景色吧。那位说了，这是公然强占的行为，哎，这么说不
好听，读书人的事儿怎么能说是强占呢，只能说是暂借。
沿着I-80一直往东，从四城开出去大概70miles，就到了Starved Rock State Park。这
个公园出名的是小瀑布特别多，但是，也算是欺名盗誉吧，今天到了那里才发现这个季
节没有水。要看瀑布的话，得初春的时候去。不过，Visitor Center的老先生很诚恳地
告诉我，去trail走一走，会有收获的。走下来发现，确实不虚此行，至少给下次来拍
秋色探探路。
公园里有些小山，都是土山，没有西南的石头山那种气势。但是，trail搭了许多的木
板路，方便行走，不用登山鞋，一般的sneaker就足够了。trail的每一段都不长，很适
合全家人。路上大都是family和情侣们，好象只有我是没有组织的。
第一站是Starved Rock。这是一个小山包，要上一些台阶。到了了望台可以看到水坝的

希望再找2人，男女不限。我计划下个礼拜5下午走，开到mackinaw island, 礼拜6玩
mackinaw island, 礼拜6晚上开车到pictured rocks, 礼拜日玩pictured rocks,然后
礼拜日晚上回来。稍微有一点赶，不过也没办法，礼拜一要上班。如果有感兴趣的，可
以和我联系，先站内吧。不用会开车，也不用需要有车，开我的车，全程应该都是我开
，费用平摊。
有个问题我不太明白，我看地图，从mackinaw island到pictured rocks一共才130多
mile,为什么要开5个小时？ |

年。我们的宗旨是给中国弱势群体的一部分，贫困学生提供经济资助和精神支持，希望
开阔他们的视野，给他们提供更多的机会，提高他们成功的几率，帮助他们过上更好的

练，业余水平。但一来在社区弘扬中华文化，二来让老人觉得学有所用。这周六，3月8
