在考虑之内，个人倾向于los angeles， 因为los angeles 分校有几门fanatial课（后
来查了下，也就是个lecturer的课，似乎los angeles分校统计系本身似乎没有
fanantial 方向）。irvine呢离家比较近。统计系没有los angeles强。 riverside呢
，离家远，可能是三个学校里最差的。当然这是我的印象，也许不对。
现在还有一个纠结的问题，原先的gre过期了， 为了申请，还要考新的gre。事实上你
， 新gre对我是个挑战，从目前复习的情况看，考不了高分。而且作文也很头疼。
riverside呢， 对phd似乎可以免掉gre，自费上呢， 还是比较容易的（我本人在
riverside）， los angeles呢，问了，似乎也可以waive掉， 不过系里的招生advisor
说最好考个gre，如果没有，很不能就不考虑。irvine正在问，还没回信。

加rock gyms太远，深入研究，只有upland, riverside的hangar 18比较合适，也不算
太远。
如果只是weekend一周一次哪怕两次都可实现。
这的top rope section也还较高，估计有个40ft。相比很多其他gym25 ft的所谓岩壁，
还能练练endurance
想看看东边，一直到riverside, inland empire的同学们，有没有熟悉belay有共同兴
趣的同学，可以一块去玩，无法像以前那么勤，只能保证一周一次的。

其他地方也有很多分院和诊所，例如University Ave上的儿童诊所
只要是在Fairview体系以下的医院，都共享同一个病例数据库
所以是一个非常好的选择
如果你准备在这里生孩子，简单的情况大概是：
（以下均系Fairview集团的）
1. 在Fairview Riverside Women's Clinic进行产检
1.1 你要先确认一下你的保险和这家医院的联系关系，通常都是OK
1.2 从产检开始，可以要求每次需要中文翻译随行

我现在去看的这个ob是U of M Physicians Womens Health Specialists，是明尼苏达
大学的team，他们在riverside那栋楼的三楼。而Fairview Riverside Women's Clinic
这个team在同一栋楼的7楼。
我在保险公司的网站看到了前一个ob team是属于两个care system，一个是umn care
system，一个是fairview care system，应该是因为fairview把umn学校的医院买下来

我不知道学校的这个team怎么样，所以想着要不要去Fairview Riverside Women's
Clinic找个ob。他们这两个team不会共同合作吧，不过他们现在都属于fairview care
system，病例数据库可能可以一起看？我是怕怀孕的时候有问题要做手术，想着要不要
找个经验好的。 |

哈德逊的河边trail在一年四季各有各的风情。最喜欢沿着河边trail跑，一直跑到
south rerry是
9mile，身上带两块钱，可以在路边的自动售货机买水喝。有意不带信用卡和地铁卡，
在跑到了曼哈顿
岛的另一头时，叫天天不应，叫地地不灵，只能乖乖自己跑回来凑成18mile整，最适合
我等意志薄弱的
runner。到了秋天，河对面的新泽西是一片片红黄绿色的秋叶，伴着傍晚的落日，灿烂
的红霞，美的让
人窒息。
像我LD这种自认hardcore的runner，一般是不屑和我跑riverside的，宁愿在central
park山丘
起伏的地方绕圈。上周末是我们马拉松前的最后一次12mile run，比较放松，终于有机
会带着相机跑
一回riverside trail。tonyprince也刚刚完成NYCM，加入了我们跑recovery run。

早晨8点出发，Vegas街上的车还很少。开出Vegas，沿I-15向东，一片荒芜的沙漠风光
。开始还很兴奋地体会这份苍凉，看看Joshua树，后来慢慢被这一望无边了无生机的灰
色磨得懒懒的，提不起精神来。等到Mesquite了眼前突然一亮，路边不远处一片耀眼的
绿洲，很是赏心悦目。绿洲这个词，听得看得都烂熟于心了，但若是不到沙漠里走走，
不可能真正明白这是怎样的奇迹。换Ut-9以后，一条小河就开始时不时伴随在公路左右
，像一条绿色的带子飘来飘去，这就是Virgin River，在Zion还会和她亲密接触。很快
到了Hurricane。在这里竟然发现警察大哥开的是皮卡，并且没有任何警灯或警车的标
志。如果不是抓了一个超速的，还真难注意到。这个发现使得我们整个旅途中开车谨慎
了很多。后来陆续发现Utah南部的警车很多都用皮卡，真长见识了。
10点半到达Zion门口的小镇Springdale。很多小旅店分布在街边。这里有两家卖石头的
