第一个算不上rfic 更想做high speed io interconnet 或者optical tranceiver 用
sige 就能看出。算不上传统的rfic领域 传统rfic 都没几个教授了吧 而且自己也是做
cdr出身的 rf 估计也是半桶水。组比较压抑就别去 压抑上6 7 年多难受。
第二个路子活 但是不一定会让你早毕业 把学生当作ip 劳工 sequeeze 学生 自己赚
公司的loyalty 也不是不可能。
至于选rfic 还是选模拟 没jb鸟关系 见过phd 搞rf做adc 也见过 solid state
physics 出身的搞rfic。 关键一点 那个能早毕业 那个能开开心心最重要。
所以还真的不如当马工。尼玛

发帖数: 7 | 12 小弟人在德国, 今年刚刚硕士毕业, 现在手头有两个PHD的offer, 一个是外校的RFIC设
计, 一个是本校的偏应用的mixed signal IC设计, 现在很是纠结, 求版上各位大神给
指条明路.
小弟个人背景: 授课型硕士, 杂七杂八学了一堆, 但都是一知半解. 硕士论文做的是
sigmal delta data converter. 所以算是知道一点点mixed signal IC设计的东西.
RFIC方面的东西只上了一门课, 没有丝毫hands-on经验, 可以算是小白一只. 个人对电
路设计很有兴趣, 以后有志于此.
两个offer的大概情况如下:
RFIC:
1. 题目是高速光通信电路IC设计, 用SiGe工艺. 内容大概包括电磁场仿真建模和电路
设计(PLL, LNA, VCO).
2. 导师做CDR出身, 在工业界混了15年, 经验丰富, 有自己以及带队灌JSSC, ISSCC,
MTT经验.
3. 项目经费充足, 导师对整个项目有清楚的研究计划.
4. 导师承诺可以亲自带小弟入门, 每周有面对面指导.

类属于“integrated circuits and systems"这个专业。
MMIC是更偏向于微波电磁波专业。这两个专业还是很不同的，前者更注重于应用方面。
如果你更偏向于前者，为什么不直接申请“integrated circuits and systems".出来
找工作比MMIC容易多了， MMIC偏军方应用，中国人很难进那些公司。 |

management IC，应该是做DC-DC converter， LDO之类的. 学校都差不多，已不准备考
虑这一点。
和两个老师都聊过。也和他们的学生聊过。做RF的老师相对push一点，学生有怨言；做
power的老师相对nice一点，学生口碑很好。工作都还算比较好找；做RF出来的基本都
是engineering，做power的老师有几个学生走学术，剩下的是engineering。
本人对这两个方向都不是很了解，向大家请教一下了，该怎么选择，选择的时候应该主
要考虑什么？

narrow focused indeed. Skill sets might not be as transferable as B). If
the company doesn't have much of a market share, then it could mean job
insecurity.
On the other hand, cellular transceivers are still pretty hot right now,
companies like Marvell are just starting their 3G transceiver effort, so
RFIC
experience in that field is pretty much gold. If you can get into some
4G/LTE companies, that'll be sweet. |
