为了DIY啊。富人没有必要自己修房子，所以无所谓。中产和穷人，因为美国
人工奇贵，所以往往要自己修房子，做做renovation，看到处爆满的home
depot，lowes就知道了。
如果是home owner自己做DIY projects，那么木结构的就方便太多了，
随便谁都能玩的转。而砖石，水泥，石头结构的，那难度太高了，没有多

每个公寓自己决定维修情况，根本不会统一性的。
维修费和许可证都是自己申请自己掏。
renovation内容很多，厨房的renovate就包括了改装电流和插座的位置，这么点活儿容
，3000-5000美元起价，这还是最基本的，没做decoration的，材料都是很常见的。 |

然后数日之后，会有人上门免费给renovate一番，价值几十万，神不知鬼不觉。查都查
不出来，FBI也不知道警长家里原来啥样。
给警长行贿的这个人或者这些人。你觉得他们的生意，以后在此警长所在城市会出任何
问题吗？像刘强东遇到的这种破事，有社会关系的人根本不在乎，不可能给抓进去，

方便: 线路多。哥来到纽约时北京地铁还只有两条线。看了纽约地铁密密麻麻的线路图
当时被震撼了。
确实很方便。而且24小时开放。这是世界唯一一家。
北京地铁一般晚上11点都关了。
快捷: 100年前纽约地铁设计就颇为前瞻性的设计了快慢车不同轨道，远路坐快车很快
捷 节省时间。比中国地铁不管多远都得一站一站熬强多了。
而且纽约地铁站一般进站很快就可以上车，步行距离很短。
便宜:2.75刀随便坐多远都可以，而且跟NYC bus和郊区bus都联运，一张地铁票可以同
时坐bus不用再交钱. 2.75刀可以到纽约市内任何角落。这比中国很多公共交通都便宜
了。实乃良心价 人民的地铁。
缺点呢，无非就是旧，脏。但市政当局近两年来投入巨资进行地铁站renovation, 目前
大站一般都经过了renovation, 情况可以说得过去了。
另外就是屏蔽门啥的。这都需要钱。弄这些地铁很可能需要涨价。乘客不一定愿意。 |

it, more or less, and then put it on market as "renovated".
I'd never buy a "renovated" house unless I can find out what were the
problems and what have been done. Many bad handy men just do the easy job to
cover up the problems.
