ibm几大块，research center应该还是挺好的，不过不能跟20年前的比了。
平台硬件部stg还行，具体了解不多，不过现在CEO是平台部出身的。
软件部比咨询部起薪高一些。几个产品线基本包含了所有商务应用了。ibm主要搞中间
件啦（websphere系列），软件工程管理（rational系列），db2系列，还有lotus系列
（办公软件）。中间件好像还不错，数据库比oracle占有率差应该。rational系列用的
还是挺多的。lotus情况不明。主要偏向大型企业吧。价格略高，小企业用不起。好像
没什么很了不起的新技术，都挺传统的。
全球服务分gbs和gts，一个做商务咨询(偏it)，一个平台技术服务，比如帮你假服务器
或者中间件。里面都号称顾问。算是现在ibm的核心业务，其他软件硬件很多都是靠服
务部出货的。适合信管的人去。国内IBM咨询是SAP部门最强力，这里不明。出差牛多，
我的情况是90%出差。多混几年技术会废（你也可以看到用vb6做项目的team），但是可

我刚写文章突然想起来一个东西
从分布式事务角度出发
如果你允许用户介入你的transaction
会使得整个transaction系统消耗的资源陡增
纯粹是找死，mysql什么就是用这种方式设计出来的产品
一般用hadoop的地方都不允许用rational database
因为rational database的transaction机制消耗了大量的资源
如果能够屏蔽用户介入，那么锁机制可以大幅度简化
一个timestamp就可以搞定绝大多数问题，而且可以大幅提升效率
所以mysql这种东西用在distributed system中绝对是错误的设计
但是这个东西太新，也太深了，不指望一般码代码的能看懂
反正出了问题就去搞memory db就是了 |

actually you should always be confident and comfortable to determine that
