I will need to level up by next month then. I will have 6 gold month. I can
barely make to 100ftp points nowadays playing 2 table of NL25 for an hour
everyday. Hopefully i can make more ftp points when I level up.

but one interesting thing is: originally i thought most 50NL regulars now
play rush somehow, but just found i add more notes on new guys everyday,
only a handful guys whom i played before in regular 50NL games.
for me, rush is good at:
1) play a huge number of hands to practise, 500 regular vs. 1500+ rush. yeah
, the quality of hands may drop, but overall still a big learning step for
me;
2) rakeback and bonus, they make up a l |

发帖数: 7793 | 6 I have to agree with fryking. The volumn of hands played alone can help us
improve greatly. I would not be winning in cash game so quickly if it weren
't for rush. Rakeback and ironman is nice too. I can't get to iroman without
rush. I don't think it is a problem to find fish in rush with Holdem
manager, even though they are not at your table all the time. But this
disadvantage alone can't not over shadow the rest of the advantages.

and those who play 16 tables know they're not making optimal decisions, they
're playing robotic style. they don't count on creative play and big pots at
a single table, but small edge multiplied by 16. rakeback/bonus is another
big source too for them.

Say you played and accummulate 5K FTP point and stopped a while. At the
end of May, you get all the rackback on the 5KFTP.
Now is June and you start to use FTP point to play satellite for tickets(you

that still hurt your rackback?! |

一直在家以poker为生。
快一年啦。颇多感慨。
以前虽然也做过主业，但毕竟是在国外，也年轻，那是45年前，还容易打些。
大概有20$/hour 的收益（但是平均打的小时数没到2000小时）
1.NL100（6max)最稳定，达到25-30$ 完全没问题（加上rakeback)
2.NL200以上整体输钱，冲了几次都失败。
3.扑克作为职业在中国很难被认可。
4.没有什么大的tournament入账。
5.当你远离职场太久，就很难在找工作（找了可能也很无聊）
由于年龄偏大，还在找与不找工作间痛苦挣扎，经常和几个pro交流，但由于所攻游戏
不同，而且同样有起伏，很难做出精确比较。
相信诸位求职业发展poker的毕竟少数，发文谨以求共同讨论。 |

发帖数: 15860 | 15 看来你和俺有个通病，某session输多了收不住，明显最大几个输的比最大几个赢的都
要多，正负相抵，白忙乎。
不过话说回来，一月$1K，以投入的时间，stake较小(50NL)来讲，绝对是above
average了，俺瞎猜在前10-20%之间，加上rakeback，bonus，和火爆的月，一年冲2W还是
有希望的。
看cardplayer上面讲，其实很多pros也并不象那么有钱，比如某人career tournament
winnings有7M，实际上也就2M左右的真正到了荷包，IRS拿了很多，背后back up的抽头
也很厉害(否则他们根本玩不起动则5K，10K的buy-in，tournament本身也是撒大网，比
较不定的事情)。
象前面谁贴的那个PS的SNE，才8K的bankroll，打24桌100NL，一年没怎么赢利，全靠
SNE的$120K奖励，真不容易，哪天点背点，可能1/3甚至更多的bankroll就飞了，除非
人家纪律性真是很强很强。 |

其实能够保住x%的利润就挺不错的，才知道rakeback默默无闻的支撑着底线，很多时候
就是个青蛙爬井的过程，上3步退2步，调整再爬再调整。 |

My biggest leak is still playing cards too casually sometimes without
thinking. Staying at A game for extend period of time is a big challenge. |

well, i'd say if you're a big winner at 50NL, just play more there with
taking shots at NL100 here and there.
after all, it's a game to make money/fun, not to ruin your spirit for a day.
you can see how happy i was crushing $0.8 satellites and 3.3SNGs on the

1) use 284 medals to buy 2 $26 tournament tickets (140 each), this does NOT
hurt rakeback;
2) wait until i come back from canada, so we can set up some private $26 buy
-in tournaments to burn these tickets (winner transfer back to loser);
3) by that time, you should have all the rake back cleared (except the
little money for last 2 $26 games, or $1.08).
4) then use all your FTP points to buy something from their store, 120K can
buy a camera, etc.

like you got to play the game at a lower rake level. it is really not like

if a player plays 500K hands a year, either 2 rush tables or 8 regular
tables, 4 hours/day, and can reach that 5BB/100 "good" rate, that'll result
in 25K BB profit or $50K for NL200, plus rakeback+bonus, should be able to
get around $70-80K.
guess the vast majority of players can't reach this level.
one shortcut might be playing HU or 6-max, many pros advance fast on this
path, fcf himself is a good example, it's a tougher game, but can improve
skills |

losing" about $300.
as for NL200, i watched some regular (non-rush) fullring games last night,
the player pool there is not big either, about 30 tables. but a lot of them
are multi-tabling, like one guy (rlawod, from south korea) who used to play
regular 50NL with me last year, now he's playing 10 tables at 200NL.
