中国民办大学西湖大学办得好的，但是他们在美国招人的牛皮也吹得太大了。
这西湖大学有些事情确实做得过了，刚开张时五年超Caltech（美国加州理工）的豪言
还在记忆中，现在又来这招：在美国花巨资雇人。如果这在哈佛传递的信息是真的，西
湖雇教授是美国同级教授几倍的年薪，孩子重返美国读书的学费西湖大学包。这些条件
开得太没有边际了，反而会抑制后续的捐款热情。
我们来举个美国一流大学的例子：圣路易斯华盛顿大学的助理教授为9万美元左右的年
薪，西湖如果三倍会支付近30万美元，比有些Endowed教授（讲席）还高。如果西湖用
几倍的钱雇华大的副教授（10-15万美元）或正教授（15-20万美元), 费用更是惊人。
为什么要支付助理教授级别的年轻人这么多钱？一点不错，助理教授是人生创造性的高

上周末听说新唐人电视台在歌剧厅举办新年晚会，我们曾毫不怀疑能够估摸出晚会
大概的样子。在我们小的时候，父母总是拽我们去参加中国文化的各种活动，甚至我们
还会参与一些表演。中国的杂技演员顶着瓷碗向后弯腰及地。至于琵琶和古琴弹奏，我

是的，我们得承认：这是我们从来没有看过的。

You can DIY. Buy a bottle of throttle body cleaner (CRC brand) and find and
remove the throttle body (a controlled valve) and use lint free rag and
cleaner clean out all black dirt. I cleaned my car's throttle body and the
car is running very smooth now (used to be very rough idle and almost to
stall). It's very easy to do. Search youtube to see if there is a video for
your car.
