好几年前，我去新奥尔良玩了几天。新奥尔良最有名的当然是French Quarter，就是所
谓的法国区。好像称呼French Quarter的称呼更加普遍。
一大清早，我们从旅店出来，驱车前往French Quarter。在河边找到停车位，正好离这
家著名的Café Du Monde非常近。好像是去过新奥尔良的必去这家Café Du Monde去品
尝Beignet，一种法式点心，其实就是油炸面团加上很多糖粉。

走进Café Du Monde，因为非常早，而且有些小雨，没有什么顾客
除了卖Beignet，这里还卖纪念品
生意渐渐好了起来
在这里吃过Beignet早餐以后，往街对面走，就是杰克逊广场。
后面的三个尖顶的是圣路易大教堂。这马车的架势显然是为了旅游者而开设，跟中央公
园的马车一个目的。
跃马不横枪的就是猛将兄Andrew Jackson，美国第七任总统。这个雕像和广场显然是为
了纪念他在1815年的Battle of New Orleans中打败了英国人。

新AP,秋季入职。目前刚生完老二。入职以后因为long-distance会离开孩子和家人到距
离坐飞机2个多小时以外的新学校工作的情况,公婆到时候会来和老公住一起帮忙带
孩子。我之前是打算在开学之前把家里的事情安顿好，然后秋季quarter期间大多数时

天发现有些小地方他们不够仔细，比如有两个钉子在t-moulding 的地方没有钉进去，
有两片边角的 quarter-round 没有钉牢，然后看了下clost 的部分因为有几个转角，
他没有放 quarter-round. 但是另一个closet 的一边有类似的转角，他又装了。请帮
我看看这样有没有问题。

开，课程就结束了。现在从一个用semester system的学校跳到一个用quarter system
的学校，很多课程都要重新准备，真是痛苦呀。感觉用quarter system的学校好少呀，
很多的会议可能都要耽误课才能参加。 |

semester (fall and spring): 2+2 (15 weeks + 15 weeks = 30 weeks)
quarter (fall, winter, and spring): 2+2+2 (10 weeks + 10 weeks + weeks = 30
weeks)
for quarter system, same number of weekly sessions as semester system but
more total number of students and more series of delivery
of course, if it is also 2+2 for quarter system, then it is better, but as
far as I know, the load is typically 2+2+2 |

边。 因为任何一个contractor都不可能给你以个没完工的价钱，只要是contractor去
看了你的房子，量过了多少SF，然后给你的价钱，一定包括Quarter Round Moulding的
价钱。除非你本来就是问contractor多少钱一尺？人家给了你一个单位价钱，到真正开
工的时候，人家当然有理由要你加Quarter Round Moulding的钱了 |

要装quarter round, 否则很难看？？home depot给的报价关于quarter round是大约
400刀，在犹豫有没有必要花。实在没有经验，特地来请教一下，谢谢。
目前二楼的地板就只有baseboard和地板相接，没有quarter round.也没感觉难看啊。 |
