今晨白鹤有个李子的帖子, 他问我Brooks Plum 和Italian Prune有什么不同. 我想可
能有很多同学对prune不熟悉, 所以决定另开此帖, 将prune 和plum做一个简单的介绍,
来和大家分享.
1. Prune
可以这么说, prune是一种plum, 但plum却不一定是prune. Prune的已知品种大都
从欧州而来. 果实的形状是长圆形,颜色深紫色,果肉和果核较易分离. 都是self-
fruitful, 不需异花传粉, 但需要800小时左右的chilling. 主要品种有Italian,
French 及 Stanley等等.
2. Plum
在美国市场上, Plum的品种主要分欧州李,日本李及混交三种. 李子的形状以圆形为主,
颜色大都是深红色. 果肉和果核较不易分离. 许多品种需要异花传粉, chilling hour
的需求比较低, 大都在300-600之间. 主要品种有Santa Rosa, Mariposa, Beauty,

Plum), 而没吃过新鲜的prune. 事实上, 新鲜的prune虽然水份比大多数李子少一些,
但不酸, 且有独特的甜美味道, 非常好吃. 近年来, 由於发现Prune富含反氧化物质以
及纤维素, 营养价值很高, 越来越受到欢迎.
不像品种繁多的李子, Prune的品种并不多. 都是源於欧州. Prune水果多是紫色, 不必
异花传粉, 但需较高的chilling hours (800小时左右). 我这棵是我嫁接的low chill
品种, 可说年年量产. |

今年我家主力是西红柿，所以比较注意收集相关信息。西红柿要求的水肥土没什么特别
的，比较不一样的是要求整枝。而且西红柿的品种多，品种间差异也比较大。大家可以
谈谈，对不同品种整枝的经验。
对于prune，有几点原则是公认的：
1.降低总产量
2.增大个体
3.鼓励主干长高，less bush like所以占地小。
至于要不要prune，恐怕是取决于具体的植物和gardener自身的喜好。比如，我看到有
人比较pruned and unpruned的sungold。他认为，虽然unpruned的sungold更小，但是
sweeter,more flavorful，而且没有crack的情况发生。所以他决定sungold是不需要的。
我看的handbook是针对Texas的，Texas气候有它的特殊性，本来就不鼓励种植大西红柿
，同时作者都提到他们是倾向于个体小但总量大，所以并不鼓励prune。但是如果你的
倾向不同，也可以采用不同的方式。我觉得，自家种菜本来就是好玩的，不如都试试，
看看你喜欢哪个。

here safely means two things.
first, how to use chainsaw or pole saw correctly so that users won't get
hurt.
I heard that a famous golfer got hurt when he was using his chainsaw.
so anyone has any experience of pruning a tree with chainsaw or pole saw.
My arm is chicken arm, not strong. Can I use chainsaw or pole saw?
secondly, when you cut the branch, if wronly, the cutting may hurt your tree.

1 小小朋友喝prune juice治便秘要打电话问儿医先。昨天 下班的时候想起来，结果
daycare只有刚工作的老师在，问了管paperwork的老师，人家说可能too strong, ask
the doctor
2 可以用成人的prune juice, 纯果汁，不加任何添加剂，加水或奶1：1， 一次2oz.
3 prune juice会导致孩子胃不舒服（估计是原汁太强，所以要加水）
4 gerber有baby apple prune juice. 既然是给孩子喝的，估计不用加水了？没空去买
，一查amazon, shipping 快12刀，真黑啊。于是让老公勺了点earth's best 的1st
prune糊糊，兑水给娃喂了点，娃一脸酸酸的表情，尝了尝，不酸，象止咳糖浆的味儿
。早上醒来，娃便了些。不知道是不是这个的作用。早上带去梨糊糊，中午把衣服便脏

饭的时候顺手拿出了一盒7OZ的pitted prune，看到上面写着prune contains double
amount of Potassium than banana has， 很高兴带了对付抽筋儿的食品。当时并
不知道在10:30A.M. 以前吃完这一盒pitted prune对这次hiking Mt. Whitney是一
个多么重要的决定。睡觉睡到2：30PM，肚子开始了一场“甘地”式的不合作运动，
也督促我勤勉地出入“五谷轮回之所”。空档期间，我徘徊于池塘、小桥、流水、
瀑布 之间，等待着下一次natural call的来临。天随着厚厚云层的出现黑了下来，
肚子的警报却还是没有消除，躺在车里，看着原来11PM出发去Mt. Whitney Peak看
日出的计划渐渐成为泡影，心里把那盒pitted prune的manufacturer “问候”了N遍。

house,
in order for the tree not to rub the roof or overhang the house to the left

has good shade
and spectacular fall color.
And it is bug-resistant, drought-resistant, and decay resistant.
The problem with it is it lacks main structure and it often forms
three branches from the crotch of the main trunk.
Anyone has experience of pruning Chinese Pistache?
Or if you own a Chinese Pistache and have some professionals prune
it, could you please upload a picture of pruned Chinese pistache?

管用的，target蛮便宜的，最近riteaid有gerber辅食的deal，不过不晓得riteaid有没
有apple+prune的果汁 |

jar food 加cereal，其他就是奶，今天拉了好几次，前3次还像正常便便，但是后来的
2次量少有点gel状。好像喝prune juice能通便，不知道有没有其他宝宝吃prune拉肚子
呢？另外，不知道是不是快长牙了？谢谢大家了！ |

我看了下宝宝专用的只有Gerber Apple Prune Juice。不是专门的 Prune Juice。是这

Juice其实挺难喝的，水太多了更难喝。个人觉得 Prune的果泥其实挺好，能起到同样
作用，但是口感好，作用也比较温和。 |

sure he has enough water each day. For example, for 140 ml formula, add 20
ml water.
You can also try to give baby more concentrated prune juice. My son doesn't
take 1:1 (prune: water) but take 2:1 (prune: water).
Before the constipation gets better, maybe you can reduce or stop the rice
cereal. |

宝宝从满月开始就一个星期便便一次,现在发展到10天都不便.上次给喝了2oz prune
juice,24小时之内就便便了3次.今天又到10天了,刚刚又给喂了2oz prune juice.这么
小的宝宝经常靠prune juice才能便便,总这么搞不好吧.
儿医也淡定,说是10天便便一次都正常.宝宝没有表现得不舒服,便便的颜色质地都正常,
就是量比较多,肚子也是软软的.
忘记说了,全母乳.是不是我吃点什么东西会有帮助啊? |

汁或者prune juice，如果买不到就买成人喝的，但是要兑水稀释。不用给1oz这么多，
我给了半oz的兑成2oz。

倍水就行。
实际使用时，我们发现兑水后宝宝特别不喜欢喝，原汁的反而能喝上几口。 因为每次
