When come back and before entering the US custom, there is a place(on right
hand side of the highway) you can get the 15%+ Fed and Provincial taxes
back. Not on everything but hotel bills and large consumer goods. For $100
a hotel/night it could be $30 or more, particularly now Can$ > US$! Save
your receipts. |

《移民资讯汇编》（Lexbase）总编辑兼移民律师李克伦（Richard Kurland）透过
《资讯自由法》（Access to Information Act）取得的报告指，中国过去10年经济成
长迅速，非法移民对他们极具吸引力。单在2008年，中国是加国境内申请难民的第3大
来源国，达1,336人，佔来自中国难民申请总数的84%。
混入商业表演团体
报告指，大多数申请难民的中国人，是成功利用加拿大临时居民计划，以欺诈或不
实的陈述获得签证。此外，不少人也透过永久居民计划，以假结婚、假履历、假学历文
凭等，透过配偶团聚、省提名移民计划(Provincial Nominee Program，简称PNP)、投
资等各类移民来加。这些造假都与多年前支付7万元抵达卑诗的人蛇船民属同一个地区

Federal tax deduction: -$ 11,736.21
Provincial tax deduction : -$ 7,032.49
CPP deductions: -$ 2,163.56
EI deductions: -$ 783.20
就剩下$ 22,284.54了。这个钱没法生活....
但是又看到有PERSONAL TAX CREDITS RETURN，比如说2011的Basic personal amount是
10,527。搞不清楚到底能拿多少了。

Class".

可以申CEC，但是最好的是省提名-Provincial Nominee Program。比如BC的省提名，只
要硕士或博士毕业了，立即有资格申请，可以没有工作offer，100%被批准，前提是要
有意在BC settle。从开始申请到拿到枫叶卡大约1年。ON省的省提名似乎是要毕业后找
到全职工作，但是也是很简单的。一般加拿大毕业的，很少有人申CEC，都是走PNP。
2.我看了这个项目的申请要求有学位+1年以上全职工作经验。这样的话应该什么时候递
交申请？博士在读期间还是工作满1年以后？当然是希望尽快拿到枫叶卡。

炎炎夏日，水上意外频生。 昨日又有一名青年在一处海滩遇溺，经抢救后仍处危殆，
令近4日内水上意外酿成3死1危殆。今年至今本省溺毙人数更达43人，较去年增加近一
倍，情况令人关注。
昨日的遇溺意外发生在满地宝的White Pine 海滩，下午1时32分左右，一名24岁青年，
被发现在水中遇溺，被其他人救起，即场急救，再用直升机送院救治，情况仍然危殆。
救生协会(Lifesaving Society)的舒滕坎帕(Wendy Schultenkamper)表示，本省今年发
生的遇溺身亡事故，至今已有43宗，较去年的25宗大幅增加，情况令人关注。

市民如果要挖贝，可以到温哥华岛（Vancouver Island），但需要申请牌照。
可上网查询规例
市民登入温哥华岛的旅游网站www.vancouverisland.com，就可以看到奈库恩省立公园
（Naikoon Provincial Park）内的北海滩（North Beach），公众可以拿著牌照到海滩
内掘蛤。但在出发前，最好先登入网站了解详情，因为有时会因气候或蛤的数量减少，
而发出掘蛤的限制。
詹森表示，他们是乐意解答市民有关挖贝或捕鱼的查询，有关申请牌照的详情，可以
到渔业部网站www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca查询。
另外他亦鼓励市民透过24小时热线604-666-3500，向他们举报非法挖贝或非法捕鱼。

医保加价 减税喊停
【明报专讯】卑诗财政厅长冯宜干(Kevin Falcon)昨日公布一份被认為是省自由党上台
以来最「右」的紧缩预算案，不仅继续对公务员及教师「冻薪」，调低医疗、教育方面
的开支增幅，取消对小商户「免税」计划等以节流，又将医疗保险费(MSP)调升4%、沽
售公营酒舖等「非战略资產」以开源，且不排除会将公司税调高1%。虽然该案仍预计有
9.68亿元赤字，但他誓言要在明年省选前的预算案上完成平衡，甚至扭亏為盈。
冯宜干同时亦宣布了一些「派糖措施」，包括暂停调高碳税，為初次置业者提供最高一
万元的购新房退税，為长者提供1000元装修退税，及為孩童提供体育及艺术课程退税等

发帖数: 8732 | 48 炎炎夏日，水上意外频生。 昨日又有一名青年在一处海滩遇溺，经抢救后仍处危殆，
令近4日内水上意外酿成3死1危殆。今年至今本省溺毙人数更达43人，较去年增加近一
倍，情况令人关注。
昨日的遇溺意外发生在满地宝的White Pine 海滩，下午1时32分左右，一名24岁青年，
被发现在水中遇溺，被其他人救起，即场急救，再用直升机送院救治，情况仍然危殆。
救生协会(Lifesaving Society)的舒滕坎帕(Wendy Schultenkamper)表示，本省今年发
生的遇溺身亡事故，至今已有43宗，较去年的25宗大幅增加，情况令人关注。
舒滕坎帕呼吁市民要关注水上安全，并特别提醒公眾，在泳池游泳，与在海滩游泳有别
，包括海滩的水温会较低。
除了昨日的遇溺意外，近四日内共有3人遇溺丧命，包括上周四(18日)，来自高贵林港
的一名21岁男子，在金穗省级公园(Golden Ears Provincial Park)内阿卢埃特湖(
Alouette Lake)溺毙。

largely a systematic issue (i.e, how the LM is awarded). A more meaningful
comparison is the level of competition. For example, comparing a regional in
US with a provincial competition in China. My guess is the US regional would
be much more competitive, although I can't be sure as I've never attended a
latter one.
