但是你为什么总在纠结mutual fund ER的真实性？为什么总觉得有人在hide charges?
那些ER2% 的fund, 确实有可能用客人的钱在pay high salaries that they dont
deserve, maybe even luxury vacations， 也可能因为high trading cost/high turn
over rate, 但这些cost 确实包括在ER里了，这就是为什么这些烂fund 的ER高出正常
的原因。 你别去买他们就是了。所有的MF都有prospectus, 里面有balance sheet, 你
自己去算算数字能不能对上。当然他们可能cook the book, 但如果你什么都不信， 这
我就不知道说什么好了。至于MF 不能被short, 这个观察太深刻了，我更不知道说什么

。这不是买菜，最好先投资时间，弄明白再说。
你如果只想要tbond的话，vustx 不理想。你得去看看prospectus，确定你可以接受它
只有80%是treasury.
vanguard当然可以买tlt，是个broker都可以买。你也可以直接买tbond，财政部
auction的，或是二手的。 |

但是每年有ANNUAL FUND OPERATING EXPENSES，大概1%不到。
一般index fund的annual return是4-5%吧，也要扣1%。可是有的时候return是
negative，岂不继续赔钱吗？ 把HSA的钱放到mutual fund炒股就真的赚吗？

，就剩下那种TARGET FUND，还不是VANGUARD的，Prospectuses没有任何信息，没有
PAST PERFORMANCE，不知道有啥HOLDING有啥ASSET什么MIX。我原来所有的投资也被自
动转到了某TARGET FUND。
刚查了查说是公司最近认为员工太多，401K账户太大，由EXPERT来MANAGE比较好，所以
雇了个公司叫Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting选出的这些FUND来帮大家MANAGE。
真TMD的脑残啊，VANGUARD低费用的优势也没了。不知道这是最新趋势还是什么。 |

你这些基金，expense ratio 动辄 1% 以上，是不是指数基金都不能随便买。
你要是喜欢折腾，不怕闹事，可以跟公司反映。公司对员工的401k是有fiduciary duty
的。基金选成这样，多半只是因为他们不懂而已，不是成心跟黑店勾结。
要是不喜欢生事，就像我之前说的，早点跳槽。 |

找到Mutual Fund对应的Prospectus，查看每个州的muni bond分别占百分比多少，再把
填入turbo tax中即可，我默认你选的是national muni bond的mutual fund。
比如你的fund共赚取了$1000的interest，其中20%来自加州，那么这$1000的interest
全部免联邦税，$200免加州税。

2：经典的价值投资者不怎么CARE宏观经济的， 读一下PETER LYNCH 的经典著作ONE UP
THE WALL STREET 就清楚了。但是一定要对人性对这个国家的未来有基本的信心。
3：PETER LYNCH 的建议是散户至少买5，6个股票， 有一两个OUTPERFORM， 别的一般
般就可以BEAT 大盘了。 另外价值投资通过看基本面止损，基本面部改变， 没有止损
的说法。 但是基本面改变以后， 一样会卖出的。
4： 这个绝对看个人情况和性格了吧。 我个人就没时间全天看盘，对TRADING没那么大
热情，也不愿意在股市上花费太多精力。 我这样的就比较适合做长线。
