如果是non-resident（从tax角度，不是移民角度）开户，好像直接扣30% tax
withheld。
我第一年投资时还是学生OPT刚转H1B，以为自己是non-resident，年底卖点股票，好家
伙，Fidelity直接把我所有sales proceeds的30%都扣下来了，注意，还不是capital
gain的30%。我年初报税后才把钱都退回来。
以外国人身份炒股在tax上只会让你提前扣tax，有害无益，不可能让你讨到便宜。
至于申请福利就更复杂了。。你这一句有财产不能申请福利，有点，嘿嘿，不知所云。 |
