他们很重视teaching，想问一下是不是Private University比Public University更重
视teaching，如果是这样的话，是不是应该把重心放在申请Public University上？担
心将来学生的teaching evaluation不过关，即使去了将来也不能tenure。
另外，想提高英语口语，基于你们的经验，请能分享或推荐一个比较快速、有效的方法

发帖数: 14 | 7 还没有到要找工作的时候，不过现在是职业的转折点，像前辈请教，轻拍砖。
国内医学本科，在美国读的基础博士(r1,30-50的学校,医学院比较好），wet bench
based，发了5-6中档期刊的文章，没有cns的。老板不牛但是很照顾。博士毕业开始做
住院医，另一个大学，也是r1,50-75,医学院比较好。现在residency + clinical
fellowship快做完，开始要做research fellowship了。
division是2.5年research完做instructor，如果拿到K升AP (tenure track) (option
1).
另外的选择就是做private practice (option 2).
之前一直觉得physician scientist的Lifestyle很好，做了几年医生接触了private
practice才发现也没想象的糟糕。钱后者比faculty要多很多。
对faculty的concern,不是很喜欢现在的division （几年下来人员变动比较大），虽然

小孩几岁呢?够大的话(四五岁以上)就直接one-on-one了吧!
初学很多东西注意,唯有1对1老师才有办法针对小孩的问题提供协助
group lesson有他的好处,认谱,理论方面快很多(因为游戏有竞争跟合作的机会)
但是弹奏姿势会有很大的问题(问题来自老师无法一次兼顾所有学生的弹奏姿势)
刚开始学生姿势千奇百怪,也需要一一对症下药,这是group lesson无法兼顾的
而以上认谱理论这也是1对1老师可以做到的,综合起来还是1对1好些
另外, art school的职业老师与private teacher差异不大
我同时也在music school教但同时也有自己private students.取决于
您自己的方便及喜好..
