I was not completely sure whether I should take a preptest with zero prep,
but now I am glad that I did so: now I know where I am. |

还有一本powerscore的reading bible，我觉得挺有用的（另外几个bible都有电子版）

发帖数: 123 | 7 觉得在早期严格按时间不能很好起到熟悉题目，熟悉自己的目的。于是做了两套完全不
按时间的（各个section在38 to 42 minutes），168 and 170, significantly higher
than the two timed prep test, 153 and 155。
FYI and also, any comments are welcome. |

For most others, I would recommend a PLI course. Buy it on ebay, learn it,
pass, and sell it on ebay. It does not cost much at end of day. |

my friend referred Arthur Brunelle to me. He helps me a lot in SEP,
especially correct my prounciation and correct the question sentences and
skills. I think he is the tutor what we need if we have low SEP. I got high
performance in SEP score the second time and pass the CS in Dec, 2010.
He also help people to polish interview skills and answers. He had FOUR
interview prep students who prematched.

Retina display, which I care the most. I have been waiting for this for at
least 2 years, once you are on Retina display, you can't go back. Reading
step1/CK books or PDF books on it will be much sharper than before. Also UW
released its app a couple months ago, now used together w/new iPad, USMLE
prep is gonna to be much more FUNNNNNNNN than before. kaka......... |

Kaplan的所有课程都在15%off， 想着如果报个班会不会有帮助呢？学费还是很贵的。
主要是想jump start进入boot camp的状态，但听说课程是从早上8点到下午5点，看来
还是很费时，主要是不知道live prep和录像什么的有啥区别，也不知道录像是不是值
得买。
请有经验的人指教！谢谢！ |

洛杉矶地区没有最好的私立高中，只有最合适的私立高中。四所最严格私立高中是
Flintridge Prep, Pasadena Poly, Webb 和 Harvard-Westlake. 有些人可能会说最严
格的就是最好的，但对于大部分学生来说这种说法不对。对于大部分学生来说这种严格
的学校压力过大，每晚五小时的家庭作业 (脑子好使的), 加上周末，从九年级开始就
用大学程度课本。再加上2到3小时的体育训练或者演奏练习，加上社团，公共服务，和
课外活动。在申请大学的时候，大学不会因为你上一所非常难的私立学校，而对你网开
一面，反而在这里更难拿到好成绩。
最好从你所居住的周围开始咨询，因为你不会想要每天开很远的路程。就算是比较不那
么难的学校每晚也有3到4小时的家庭作业。有些学校有非常强的运动计划或者艺术计划
，所以选什么学校完全看你需要什么。不要太看中升学率，因为那主要取决与学生而不
是学校。
很多洛杉矶的天主教学校也收一部分非天主教的学生。天主教学校的费用通常只有私立
