"I'd trade 10 hp for 5 lb-ft of torque any time of the
day.". I know what they are trying to say, but in my
opinion such lines are misleading to say the least.
As I understand it (and it makes sense dimension
wise), power = torque * rpm * C, so these two are closely
correlated mathematically, a perfect flat(constant)
torque curve gives a perfect linear power curve.

的一件事，
不用担心车钥匙锁在里面． ＬＤ觉得在ＭＡＬＬ里买东西或逛街，好东西放在车里不
安全．
怎么也锁不上， 车里面那个锁车的（图中４）也锁不上车， 似乎什么东西在内面抵
住． 其他三个Door lock,都很正常． 显然， 是个别问题啦,
（１） 要拆开车侧面的面板： 先去掉三个固定的镙丝， 往上提然后用力一拔，（
我一开始就用力拔，断了一根扣子）面板就下了来； 你就可以看见内面居然有很大的
空间， 当然是用来放车窗的．
（２） 可以看见有两根铁丝通向锁： 一根是里面锁车的， 另一根是开车门的．
还有两根电线：一是Power lock, 一是power unlock. 这两个电线的在锁上的接头
躲在内面（图Ａ），很难拔下来，有个clip, 一拔就开了． 然后用万用表测电压，
用remoter 控制， 有电压变换，１４伏或0伏． 不是电路问题了．
（３） 思考中．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．．因为似乎太难拆了． 锁上有
四根铁丝， 门里已经讲过有两根，门外也有两根， |

不过又看到最近很多Cobalt由于Power Steering System失灵被召回。
有两个问题。
(1) 不知道这个问题在其它车里是很常见的，是不是买旧车不可避免的会
碰上这种问题。
(2) 做Mechanics Check 能不能检查的出Power Steering System的问题。
不知道大家觉得买这个车是不是划算。
刚到美国不久，没什么钱，只能考虑这个价位的车了。

是那种需要很大角度（eg，parking））就会发出很大的
声音。我去了goodyear， 那里的人说时rack and opinion 的问题，让我换掉， 需要
大概$800左右。我问他们是否能只修漏的那部分， 但他
们说必须全换掉。我的车99年的Ford Tauras，所以很犹豫去修还是去dealer那儿trade
in再买辆车。 我确实也看见我driver side 那边的部
分有点湿，但是看不见往下滴的那种漏。但是油确实漏得很快，我加满就跑2 miles就
漏没了。我已经加完一整瓶steering power oil，我就不
明白油去哪儿了？而且天越热漏得越快（冬天的时候能坚持两星期， 差不多80miles左
右）。我对车一无所知，我想请教一下是不是rack and
opinion的问题？

steering都要换么？

着马上lost power: 只能以10~15 mph爬行，5~10度坡就爬不上去，踩油门不给油。气
温在90F左右，油门紧，提速慢。但是气温凉下来（85F以下），一切正常。code 显示
可能是OTD sensor的问题，上次送修换了engine power 线路（我也不懂），说是它接
触不好，天热时engine lost control。但是前几日高温drive时，同样问题又出来了（
我个人怀疑是不是给油冷却系统出毛病了）。有没有高人能给些意见，感激不尽。 |

faircondition的话可以卖5000.不过最近power steering system 有些leakage，我去
一个小店查了一下，他说我的pump有些漏，要换新的，总共要640.
我现在随车携带一瓶power steering fluid，大概每隔3天加50ml，一瓶12块钱，一瓶
估计可以用1个半月到两个月。
现在的情况是：我可能明年暑假回国，打算到时候把车卖了，如果不修的话，我想3500
卖掉，如果修的话，可能就想多卖一点，比如4300. 现在比较犹豫，希望听听大家的意
见：修还是不修呢？

但是副驾驶的power lock按钮还正常工作

再自动调会个人设置的那个位置。总感觉不太对啊，不是powerseat的，一旦你调好位
置，它就不变直道你下次再调的。没做过power seat，大家说power seat都是dealer的
那样吗？btw，是福特车。 |

用洗发水瓶的吸管，吸空塑料筒里的fluid，然后加入新的，不要加过了。
开一周，塑料筒里的应该也黑了。重复上面的，这样来回大概一个月，应该你买的一小
桶的power steering fluid 差不多也都没了，而塑料筒里的新fluid颜色要好多了。应
该可以用两年。
note: power steering fluid的容器的刻度是有热车和冷车之分的。 |

铺的人后来打电话说还要做power steering flush 和 fuel injector flush？不知道
这两个flush是不是很重要？我记得以前在网上看到过说fuel injector flush有时候会
适得其反，所以不建议做。power steering flush不大清楚，不过去年在这家铺子做
30k保养的时候，告诉我说挺干净的不用做。有知道的人，劳驾给说说吧？ |
