就很大。如果只是 American scientists 有异常现象，就不必被迫害妄想。毕竟谷歌
如果真要搞政治正确，为何只改一个词，而不是所有词？如果如此挂一漏万地搞政治正

黑人的比例已经远高于我们一般的认知了。其他几个倒是看着正常一些。因为我一些年

physics的certification，小方向是diagnostic radiologic physics。毕业前只能考

too. For example, the tenure decision for a labor economist would not
stand or fall on the opinion of a macro economist. It will be decided by
that small group of labor economists, hence the potential for a couple

people to dictate the process. Similarly, particle physicists probably
have little to say about the case for a condensed matter theorist.

i thought engineering school is just another name for applied sciences, not
a vocational school.
as for an impact on society, physicists who invented maser(laser), transistor and loads of other stuff, say nuclear plant, often never worked in industry.

发帖数: 4074 | 42 总共20-25所学校，大概有三分之二的面试已经定了，可以在他们的网上查到。
top50-60以内的那十来个学校，如果不是top10毕业的，没有Nature Sub/Nature/
Science一作文章装点门面，基本上是没有戏了。三流学校找的主要还是energy
related的方向。
前面几年囤积的人太多了。
没办法，如果不想去工业界或者去teaching school教书，那就得回国继续faculty的梦
——前提是要挤得进top10左右的学校，否则也只能当一辈子的看客。对凝聚态实验来
讲，科研资金的需求量还是比较大的。
上周我也郁闷得不行，唯一的一个电话面试还有点文不对题的味道。不过现在也想开了
，最重要的还是自己的research不能丢。 |

申请任何地方都有一定的接收率。而且说实话，teaching school有时候一个职位收到
的申请数还不一定比牛校少。
再者，中国人用英文上课、跟同事和学生交流，没有优势可言。
但是再怎么说，又不是没有中国人去teaching school的。我说的只是作为找工作的人
，愿不愿意把teaching school当作一个选择去考虑和申请而已。这跟能否去是两回事
吧？ |
