最近一直挺忙的，也没什么时间上网。看到大家抗议ABC的游行组织的很不错，
有了一些启发，不由得想起了张纯如。她九年前得十一月九号去世，终年只
有三十六岁。
回想起来，在美国的这么多年，最佩服的就是她了。虽然近年来，她的名气
冷淡下去，在湾区的华人圈里也少有人记得。但说起对美国华人的贡献，为华
人的付出，我觉得张纯如的作为远远超过了那些华裔政客，超过了大家熟知
的华裔的富豪们，甚至也超过了成龙李安这样的影视巨星。
在近现代的中国人里，张纯如算是个异数。以前好像有个文化人说过，汉人
刚猛，唐人豪放，宋人柔和，明人放诞， 只有明朝之后的中国人不好形容。
岂止是个性不好形容，四百年来中国人的社会道德也是变得非常的暧昧。在
一个推崇“多一事不如少一事”，“闷声发大财”的人群里，张纯如那样嫉恶

是很多很好。
全职留在美国，小心翼翼做事，在目前还是可以的。但是如果反华风气日盛，
作为美国社会的perpetuate foreigner， 华人在美国的处境前景不容乐观。
已经拿了美国护照的，可能也没太多办法了。美国国籍容易放弃，可是中国国籍不是那
么容易重新获得的。
我现在让孩子学好中文。如果中美竞争加剧，美国对华人迫害，那我的孩子可以作为人
才去中国工作和定居。如果到那个时候，人才还受中国欢迎的话。 |

value funds and accrue interest based on perpetual 10-yrs Treasury then in
itself may not be bad. OTOH, I am not interested on letting pols to get
their hands on more retirement money.

securities are sufficiently rewarded for the risk they are taking; neither
does it mean investors should just go ahead and invest in anything because
hopefully it is "fairly" priced.

sounds like a sure thing. Then why preferred stocks have a yield of ~6-8%
while 30-year t-bond rate is ~3%? Why Wall street money is not smart enough
to arbitrage away the gap?
I am sure you must have heard the term "rating" before ? Different ratings ,
different returns. (but why does this gap matters anyway ? who cares ?
Unless you believe these tier 1 banks can fail again ?)
