记得In to the West游记才进行到Grand Teton, Utah部分都未提及。 Utah的国家公园
数量之多，密度之高，都让人惊叹。南Utah大概有6－7国家公园，每个公园距离很近，
几个小时的车程就能到达。虽然距离很近，但是其地貌却变化多端。我们和小猫一路开
车从Arches National Park （石拱国家公园）到Zion National Park, 穿过5个国家功
能，竟然没有一个国家公园的景色是重复的。
第一站，Arches National Park
在Arches National Park中分布着许许多多、大大小小、形态各异的石拱，而且一个个

上上个周末，爸妈到家附近的park边散步边捡易拉罐，然后park的管理员给了他们一张
单据（提醒不要在park捡垃圾罐），他们不懂英文，就塞到口袋打算回家后给我们看，
然后继续在那捡。 接着，警察过来了，妈妈拿出随身携带的信息表（我写他们应急用
的信息，包括姓名，地址等），警察做了登记还按了指纹，然后就让他们回来了。
结果今天就收到一张标有妈妈姓名的罚单，275刀！！
不知道有没有人有类似的经验，该怎么处理，如果上庭该做哪些准备呢？会不会影响他
们下次来美的签证呢？

Baltimore附近的state park就两个
gunpowder那个离你比较近，towson也不算太远，离我家近的那个叫做Patapsco Valley
State Park，风景很平庸很平庸很平庸，有烤羊肉串的台子，可以组织人过去烧烤，
烧完了之后散步溜溜弯，全当hiking。。。
Towson的那个水库我觉得风景还凑合，我感觉比那2个state park好。天暖和了划划船
不错，也不贵。
美东的景色还是比较平庸的，shenandoah national park真的很次，我都不知道那是怎
么评上national park的，太政治工程了，所以真没心情开车到md西边或者va，就为了
找座破山hiking。。。。还不如在我家附近的草坪扔飞盘锻炼呢。。。 |

Park"的地方
我看了下，离我车前很远(大概50米)的地方有一个双向箭头的红色no stop sign，我前
后停的车都没有吃ticket。以前一直认为这种双向no stop sign只管前后10米之内的。
这种sign一般管多远？
还有一个可能是我在路边的草丛里找到了一块倒在地上的附近一个学校的campus
police制作的的No school parking(估计因为那里是居民区)，city的parking fines
office也管campus police贴的sign吗？
如果我可以dispute的话，应该先request for an investigation (if signs were not
properly posted)，还是直接request to stand a trial （at least 5 days before
payment due date)。付罚款的deadline在两个星期后，所以如果等investigation的

昨天收到一封信，是隔壁城市寄来的Parking citation。
上面写了上月底在隔壁城市某条街上我的车违反了Parking规定。
上面注明了hearing date /time截止日期是是昨天中午。
问题是我上个月根本没去过那个城市，怎么会有这个Parking citation？
这封信是根据车牌号查到我的地址寄来的。
是不是对方搞错了，填错了车牌号？
我打电话过去就是打不通。
现在是不是只能付款了？ |

期4上午8点到10点不给趴，而且我前面后面都有车，没有带相机，刚才在google上找了
照片，就是图中黑车停的地方，莫名其妙就吃了ticket.旁边的标
志就是说星期4不给停的。仔细看了一下照片，那个黑车好像也吃了ticket，看来那地
方是个陷阱啊！
我仔细研究了一下ticket, 查了code,说是
General No Parking: No parking where parking is not allowed by sign, street
marking or traffic control device.
但是我真的没有看到任何标志啊，待会再去看看去，NND,60大洋，没有了，不知道能不
能dispute？ |

仔细看了一下说明书，原来坏的是parking bulb.
我的impala，parking/turn signal lamp是一个bulb。仔细看了一下，一个bulb中有两
根灯丝，一根灯丝是parking, 一根是turn signal.
请问我用这车去路考的话，有没有问题？
时间紧，没必要修的话，就想懒一下了。感觉parking lamp不那么重要。

因为基本上都能大概其看到有多少量。但去年买了辆09年的rav4， 车大虽然安全，气
派，但倒车什么的弄得我也是有点郁闷。比如说我想进我左手的parking spot, 我几乎
看不到我passenger seat那边, front bumper有多少量，弄得我现在根本不敢在车多的
地方爬车。倒车也是，因为车大，也要特别小心。
我知道进parking space, 比如说我想进我右手的位置，我一定要往左边靠，但有些时
候我没有完全的把车靠到左边，那样的话怎么才能够确定自己是否有足够的量进入
parking spot? also, 倒车的时候，怎么能够判断初后面有多少的量？ |

发帖数: 463 | 35 两个月前去一个在Passaic NJ 的朋友家，停车停在路上。检查了没有黄线，也没有任
何标志说不能停车就把车停那，然后人走了。
两小时后回来看到一张罚单在我的wiper blade下随风飘舞，大煞风景。 心里想，为什
么会招来这个飞来横祸呢，我车没停错啊。
一看罚单才知道NJ有一条法律-》(39:4-138e)， Improper parking within 25 ft. of
crosswalk. 在NJ住了这么多年都不知道这个，惭愧啊。 看了看我的车停离人行道大
概15ft 左右， 唉，老子认了，当天就去交钱，做个有错就改的守法者。
几个礼拜后，相继收到两张从Passaic Municipal Court 发来的信，上面说我有两张罚
单没交，要加罚。 本来$54一张罚单现在变成$64,两张就是$128. 当时在想，有没有搞
错，我已经交了钱还要我付。上网查了下罚单资料，发现当天我一共收到3张罚单，而3
张罚单的时间都在一个小时内。
我当时心里很不爽，不能白给钱给政府，于是立刻打电话去预约上庭要把这两张罚单给

Brake，那是以工作方式命名，就是 parking 的时候用的，parking brake 有用手的也
有用脚的。
有些童鞋，动不动就手刹手刹的，好像没有手刹就不能开车了。那看看这个。
别找了，没有手刹。照片是以前拍的，现在车都不知道在哪个旮旯了，以前应该拍个四
个踏板的照片，就圆满了。那些个动不动就手刹的，发表一下感想吧？
不知道这些个手刹童鞋敢买这个车，敢开这个车，特别是开这个车去考试（特别是上坡
）吗？有人说，手动四个踏板，太坑跌了，对新手来说，是啊，上坡，用脚刹，估计想
把设计的人，闷死的心都有了。
还好，俺已经过了新手的坎了，上坡的话，只要注意力集中点就行了，后来这个车的脚
刹坏了，钢丝断了，俺也懒的修，又对付着开了好几年。
上坡用手刹，很正常，不用手刹，也很正常，但是，把 parking brake 说的是如何的
重要，那就没有必要了，毕竟它只是个辅助的工具，真的想靠它，刹住在移动的车，还
是有点难的。 |

没有no parking during snow emergency的标志。可是十分钟出来后就喜闻乐见地被给
ticket了。
第一次被罚不太懂，请问这种情况有可能申请上诉么。。。只用iphone拍了一点照片，
留了parking的receipt，ticket上有准确的地址
（后来去那附近办事时，顺便留意了一下旁边小路，有明显的no parking during snow
emergency标志，可以好几辆车安然无恙地停着。meter receipt显示1:38，ticket的
时间写的是1:44，警察叔叔太专业了。。。） |

小区给了一个紫色tag可以免费停一辆车，另给了一个蓝色visitor parking的tag可以
让visitor停指定的个别visitor车位。我两台车，新车上放的紫色tag，昨晚没停小区
停在公司。旧车昨晚开回小区用的蓝色visitor parking 的tag，停在小区被拖。由于
昨天回家晚，而且从来没停过visitor parking的space一不小心停在了旁边不是
visitor parking的位置，车内挂的是蓝色tag，结果今天早上发现车被拖。我记得以前
有个什么帖子说的有些州不给拖车的钱车也可以被取出来：

to M and R). The apartment is in a brand new building (38 units and 7
floors) completed last year. The building is equipped with a 24-hour gym,
bike storage, 24-hour laundry room and video intercom. The Rego Park area is
very nice and convenient.
We are two mid-late 20's professional women working full-time in Manhattan
