on the streat. I even wished I could find my real parents and be loved
forever. As I grown up, my "real parents" never showed up, and my face just
like a copy of my Mom's as time goes by. Then I have to accept this fact. As I
am getting older, I think even it's true that i was picked up somewhere, I

Parenting 版最大的问题，是在绝大多数情况下，target audience 里面的
持一般意义上的 minority opinion 的 voice，比 majority opinion 的
voice 大上许多倍，占据了版面上远远超过 50% 的信息渠道资源，导致版面
literally dysfunction。
换言之，争议不是问题。合理争议有助于版面流量，老邢笑逐颜开，众 id
乐此不疲。双赢。信息资源渠道被 flood，导致 dysfunction，才是问题
的症结。
（一般意义上的 majority opinion vs minority opinion，举一个大众喜闻
乐见的例子，比如公立私立中小学法定必须的体制内教育 vs 锦上添花的中小
学体制外教育。）
其中的群体心理因素，是那些持 minority opinion 的 id 们，缺乏其他的宣
扬宣泄的信息广播渠道，这里成为他们唯一的几个宣扬宣泄的渠道之一。而持

我自己其实是了解儿童心理学在先。两个孩子年龄很接近，在当父母的头3年里，我根
本没有时间完整地阅读一些parenting books。但是我知道孩子是怎么发展的，各个阶
段都有着什么样的特点。根据这些特点，相应也知道怎么做比较好。另一个是我常讲的
父母要会观察孩子，了解孩子。我以前做婴幼儿试验，来实验室的都是几个月的小婴儿
，有的是1-2岁的孩子。当他们来到一个陌生的环境，接触陌生的人，怎么能让他们在
短时间内感到比较comfortable，而且能够配合完成一些tasks，这样就要求我们能够察

也是open的，可以在书店里随意浏览。
我家附近的店里只有4本parents 9月的了，parents 8月和parenting 8月都没有了。
店里有免费的wifi，我随便抽了一本杂志，把里面的coupon code输入了试验了一下，
还没有被其它人用过，我就直接拿来用了。
另外，杂志是3.5一本，不是5块一本。

parental leave。宝宝今年4月底预产期,我们一直以为如果宝宝4月底出生之后的那几
天，我们可以先用宝宝爸爸的personal leave抵上，让后5月初就可以用parental
leave 了。
宝宝爸爸今天给HR的人大电话，被告知宝宝出生日期一定要在5月初之后，宝宝爸爸才
能请parental leave. 一旦宝宝出生日期早一点点，parent leave 就完全泡汤了。
我们现在脑子有点蒙，有点看着银子变成水的感觉。而且宝宝爸爸觉得特对不起宝宝。
请问有经验的宝爸宝妈，我们这种情况还可能有周旋的余地吗？（我们现在当然祈祷宝
宝淡定，晚点出来，否则就早这么一天两天的３个星期的带薪假就白白飞了，太亏了。

was preparing for my parents' interview.
I was told the chance for parents to get their B visa is pretty good at
Beijing right now. My sister said almost all the parents had gotten their

However, my concern is that I have changed my major in my master’s program,

I want to invite my parents and grandparents to visit me together. My
parents came to US multiple times and never applied foe extension. My
grandparents never visited me.
My parents can ask for Zhong1-Xin4 Bank for visa application. My
grandparents have to interview. My question is:
1) if my parents go with grandparents for interview together, is it easier
to get approved?
2) my grandparents are around 80s. Any advice on visa application or travel

鉴于老干部们眼花耳鸣，我干脆摘要出来吧
1. parent版两个著名华裔，Beida101的儿子和lagoons的儿子，分别被选送到代表美国
奥赛国家队出征，这本来是喜事。
2. 然后他们双双都赞成AA(affirmtive action)草案
1）AA的精髓在于，将不同种族的孩子在高等院校的入学比例保持平衡，但有些州亚裔
众多，一向是公立大学里亚裔比例很高的区域，这些华人的子弟将受到猛烈冲击，他们
的录取配额将分配给分数低迷的黑人和墨西哥人，和家庭收入很低的弱势群体。
所以华人大多数都反对AA法
2）很多华人骂这两个ID太自私了，因为自己孩子肯定能进哈佛耶鲁，然后反对别家华
人子弟进好学校。
3）有人认为NBA都是黑人，就是因为黑人打的好，而学术界，如果华人成绩好，为什么

early next year.
Since your parents will be in China at that time, I suggest you to prepare
the documents now, such as notaring your parents passport & visa, having
your parents sign the (blank) application form, etc.

Because the current state I live now does not have a good medical benefit
for parents. However, the place i state is closer to state New York and I
heard the parents can get the medical benefit right away. I just wonder I
can apply for the green card for parents in different state where I live?
I really appreciate anyone who has experience can share with me. |
