我，其他两家死也不给。
我给lg买了一见外套，买的时候40，拿到店里去换颜色的时候却是90，另一条shorts也
是同理，他们不能以同样价格给我换，我必须pay the 50 dollar difference，我说另
外某家都给我parallel exchange了，那cashier拽得不得了，说then you might have
to go to a different store，哇靠，把我给气弹了，你以为我拿你没辙吗？我说好啊
，我的收据丢了，你给我退成store credit，结果以90块的价格给我退了，然后我立刻
用store credit买了那件90的。。。但是他们return without receipt要看id，一个id
可以退多少貌似有限制，hollister是一天可以退100块，af不知道。hollister的人也

computing. That was during late 80's and earely 90's. today,
network computing is very very hot.
part of the succss of parallel computing (at least from the
point of funding) owe much to American government's support.
now i know cray and SGI are not good. so don't put too much
effots into it. personally, i think it is no much future.

一直都没有出国问题，之前一直都是用bootcamp装xp用
今天抽风xp系统启动问题，于是格式化了，
想着用parallel不用在切换系统的时候重启，就下载parallel,
在parallel引导下安装xp,
装好在设置xp管理员时死机，
强行power off,
重启，悲剧了，不能正常启动，灰屏，之后是个带着问号的文件夹在闪。。。
尝试开机按alt，只能出现一个鼠标，
然后用随机附带的光盘放进去，运行disc utility
结果只显示dvd光盘信息，根本找不到硬盘踪影，更别提用S.M.A.R.T功能
基本上可以尝试的都尝试的
是不是这样就可以断定硬盘坏掉需要更换新的硬盘呢？？
还有，如果买新的硬盘，一般买什么牌子，什么型号的匹配呢？？
我的机器是MB062, 120G的硬盘。。

and parallel 7 when running win 7 x64 ultimate. WEI indexes are both at 4.5.
fusion 4:
processor 4.7
memory: 4.5
graphics: 5.7
gaming graphics: 4.6
disk: 7.8
for parallel 7:
4.7, 4.5, 5.0, 4.7 & 7.8
not sure how indicative these numbers are though...
but parallel 7 does seem to offer a better experience, with better
integration with Lion, and seems more refined. |

Oracle could not allocate the requested 64K memory. This can be caused by a
lot of reasons and the most likely one is memory fragmentation and Oracle
is still very limited by 3G address space. I do not remember whether VLM is
certified by Oracle on Windows.
Oracle does limit parallel engine's memory usage: each parallel operator can

但是在标准的 CPython 里面也可以用 threading interface 来使用 multi-core, 办
法就是用 processing module, 这个 module 会进入 python2.6, 它提供 python
threading module 的语法，底层使用 process 来 utilize multiple CPUs. 如果你的
code 不仅仅是你自己用的话，最好使用这个。
threading method 因为没法 scale to multiple CPUs across machines, with GIL

Some people argue that concurrency != parallelization. Technically it is
true. But it is also true that parallelization is a must for HIGH
PERFORMANCE concurrency. Python is intrinsically handicapped in
parallelism (not to say cpython is among the slowest interpreters
), and I don't see why a web server written in Python has a future when
there is NGINX. |

最快的。thread越多越慢。就算是线程数和processor数一样也没用。试了Java8
stream. parallel stream 比stream慢好多。刚开始觉得是我code的问题。可是我就算
是用简单的计算来代替真正的decoder，还是parallel, multithreading slower.。。。
最快的是用non parallel Stream.并行就是不行. 最后只能再试试multi processing.
profile 过了，没有明显的bottle neck. |

computation，尤其是基于 mpi 的，主要的系统开销在于 messaging 和各线程之间同
步时的等待，而数据主要存储于内存，所以 i/o 的开销并不是瓶颈；而在处理 big
data 时，i/o 的瓶颈就成为主要制约因素；parallel file system 的并发规模（十几
个并行就很高了，再高，meta servers 就跟不上了）远远跟不上并行程序的规模（上
千到数十万）。hardoop 的解决方案就是物理层面上的数据大规模分布式存储(hdfs)，
使得各物理节点尽可能独立地运行程序，他们之间的数据交流最小化。这样 i/o 的并
行就可以和 cpu 的并行相匹配了。另一个要素就是云计算所特别擅长的 mapreduce 算
法了。这大大有别于传统的 HPC clusters 的构架。
所以呢，让 IT 搭建 hardoop 平台貌似只适用于 prototyping，真的做 hardoop，还
是建议上专门的商业平台比如说 amazon。 |

BEIJING – The protests in Egypt are about free elections and overthrowing a
longtime dictator? Not according to China's state media, which is painting
them as the kind of chaos that comes with Western-style democracy.
The recent uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia are no doubt giving pause to many
authoritarian regimes around the world, but nowhere else appears to be as
determined to control the message as China.
