看大家争来争去， 说到了俺以前的本行，感觉做我这行的不多， 有些东西值得分享，
一直没有好好写出来，现在我也来说两句吧。我的point是， 老了一定要回国， 而且
能早回就早回。
我以前是在一个州政府里面专门管medicare和medicaid的部门工作的， 俺的任务就是
每天出去检查州里面的各个nursing home， 老人公寓， 还有各种名目的私立的公立的
来照顾别人的， 有人长期居住在里面的那些机构。 检查的越多， 其实越是坚定了我
要回国的信心。
不管是luxury的nursing home， 还是穷人住的政府付钱的nursing home， 我都检查了
很多， 其实两者都是一样的miserable， 唯一的能让这些老人们的生活有些不同的就
是家人的陪伴。 有些家里会每天都轮流派子女去陪老人， 很多年如此， 这样的老人
， 过得很开心， 但是想起来， 不也和咱们国内的那些老人和孩子住在一起的情况相
似吗？

难怪大家觉得nursing faculty水平不行。5000美金就可以tenure,这是小学生办家家酒
的游戏吗?
很多nursing students都吐槽nursing faculty 连很多单词都不会念，更不要说懂得
rationale了。
nursing faculty很多都很mean,这是nursing students公认的。因为没有水平，就只好
鸡毛蒜皮的小事情上吹毛求疵，以此体现自己faculty的水平。其实学生都在背后笑话。
看看那些mdcal上面的那些规则，没有一个是nursing faculty发现总结的，全部都是MD
总结的。
cal state 有一个校区有一个nursing faculty就是中国人，就连中国nursing student
都觉得水平太差，英语口音太重，所以看了活生生的榜样以后，吓得后面的中国人读了
硕士博士以后都断了做nursing faculty的想法。

发帖数: 32 | 5 我之前在nursing home上班，现在找到一个医院的工作，说真的，我觉得我想辞职了
。我之前觉得医院肯定比在nursing home好，但是我现在犹豫了。
医院的优点，肯定是学的东西多，见的病多，工资比nursing home高。（但是我真的不
是很care工资的高低，大概就是比我在nursing home高10%吧，而且工资真的不是我考
虑工作的重要因素）
医院的缺点：
1。累，我以前总听人说当护士累，我在nursing home工作，觉得还好，杂事挺多的，
但也不至于很累。在医院，好多体力活要做。护工忙不过来，护士自己上，我在
nursing home基本上就没做过重活，因为CNA人数很全，重活全包了。
2。忙，医院真的好忙，有的时候我的lunch break只吃15分钟 ，就跑出去了，随时都
在discharge，随时都在admit。在nursing home 我可以保证有安安静静的半个小时的
lunch break,还可以有额外的15分钟break。
3。脏。还是一个理，医院的护工人数不够，换brief ，给病人洗澡，护工人不够的时

其实很多读NURSING的都是有科研背景的，远的不说，THR就是以前读PHD的。以前还有
cell发了第一作者的转了NURSING，还有国内TOP2，美国芝加哥大学的博士读了NURSING
的。
读NURSING的女性居多，很多就是跟着老公出国，老公往往都是博士，博士后。所以不
要拿科研说事，那个东西没有啥神秘的，其实跑PCR就和RN打静脉一样，都是熟练工种
，没有什么高大上的。
而且科研这个东西，也要做对方向，科研就是挖矿，如果方向对了，就是事半功倍，不
然就是千老一辈子。
认识一个台湾人RN，自己有个哥哥就是数学系教授，还被中东的dubai的大学
请去讲课，带博士生什么的。 她就是一个RN，天天就在医院做一点paperwork，工
作轻松愉快。两个儿子，都是她帮忙在本地富人区给了首付，一个儿子是律师，也
娶了律师，买的三百万美金的大房子，然后两个孙子，儿媳妇买投资房都是那种一个月
物业费九千美金的。
还有一个儿子也是她给的首付在本地富人区买了房子，现在自己也是三套房子。
这个台湾RN从来也不加班，老公也只是一个牧师，教会的牧师没有钱的，一年最多四万

BOARD.等了5个月,NURSING BOARD才给答复.说我的EDUCATION 中 OBSTETRIC NURSING
课时不达标,学要在NURSING BOARD APPROVED NURSING SCHOOL补课.
申请学校过程: 收到NURSING BOARD的信后,就开始地毯式的收索各个学校的信息,由近
到远的学校列单子.
联系学校方式:1 打电话. 刚开始打的时候没经验,就按NURSING BOARD给的学校电话打,
大部分接电话是是NURSING DEPARTMENT的文秘人员,她们对我这种申请学校的情况不了
解,就直接把我拒了. 理由就是不收只读1门课的学生,只接受都NURSING整个PROGRAM的.
还有就是说WAITING LIST很长很长,可以把我放到NURSING SCHOOL WAITING LIST上(就
算在LIST上也要等1到2年)
2 直接杀到学校. 打电话没有用,于是就跑到学校.ADMISSION那,安排

，也有争吵，也有不同意见，但是不会搞什么人身攻击，不会什么潜入别人的微信群搞
无间道，想要窃取别人的隐私。
nursing faculty不敢去faculty版，因为自己都知道自己拿不出手，算不上真正的
faculty，去了faculty 版就要被人笑话。
nursing faculty就只能在nursing 版耍耍威风，其实大家也都知道nursing faculty压
根没有人去做。
认识的非洲来的，本科GPA2.9，也申请到DNP，拿到了TOP 10 nursing faculty的位置.
中国来的F1学生，单身，不靠老婆，也申请到了upenn，cornell还有哥伦比亚大学的麻
醉DNP的program.
nursing faculty因为钱少，一直都超级缺人，没有人愿意去做。
nursing faculty自以为了不起，在nursing 版和别人有不同意见，就和SRNA还有千老
串通，潜入别人的微信群窃取隐私，有没有一点道德，有没有一点法律意识。

motherhood和bru里面的竟都不觉得满意。想请教大家：
bra vs. cami
由于胸部需要support和为了随时喂奶，是不是nursing bra可以代替sleep bra和
nursing cami? 晚上睡觉穿nursing bra可以吗？nursing cami什么时候用得到？
wired vs. wireless bra
有钢圈的应该比没有的更supportive一些，但是有引发堵奶的危险，是不是应该放弃买
wired的想法，即使出了月子逛街也穿着wireless bra？
padded vs. fabric
罩杯要有棉垫的好，还是就两层布的好？只有布的可能会更舒服，但是感觉有棉垫的出
门会好一些？比如说里面放着nursing pad也不会从外观看出来，而只有布的可能会看
到一个形状？
前扣的， 后扣的 vs. racerback（无扣的）
前扣也有不会整个弹开的。后扣是最常见的。racerback作为无钢圈的bra应该是最

机会：这样的机会很难得。以前有个女的到我们科临时加班做tech，中午吃饭就跟她聊
了，结果发现她是我们system里的research institute的research coordinator。她最
早以前是tech，后来熟人介绍她去做research coordinator。tech只是她额外的收入。
我跟她说了我的情况，我以前申请了几次，都在hr就被拒了或者说职位被取消了，后来
就放弃了。而且HR的申请上说必须有一年的research 经验，我每次都硬者头皮投，希
望我以前在国内的research经验能算上，但都失败告终。我给她留了我的名字，电话和
work email。她说如果有位置会替我操个心的，还要我email我的resume给她。回家后
想了想，这只是客套话，而且我不想把自己的resume发给一个几乎是素不相识的人。所
以我就没有发。
惊喜：上个星期突然收到她的email说有个位置，看我是否感兴趣，并给我她的manager
的联系方式。我当天立即send resume。

my answer to your question.
Nurse's salary is highly relevant to their shift and work location. the size
of the hospital is irrelevant. for example, a RN in a small hospital in LA
makes ~ 60k when they first graduate, if they like to take night shifts, it
is going to be ~ 70k. for male nurses, it starts at 70k, a little higher
than the female nurses.

发帖数: 501 | 28 你说的是 nurse practitioner. 有一定的处方权。 但是，做这个有时候还真不如做
bedside 护士，因为 nurse practitioner 压力挺大的，paperwork太多了，每天看的
病人也挺多的。有时候需要加班做 paperwork。 bedside nurse，手术室，妇产科，都
是很轻松的。
护士的好处是，可以上好几个班。比如，做了三个晚班，算 full time, 然后别的时间
，可以找 part time 轻松的班拿点外快。
护士的行当挺多的，五花八门的，有 clinical base nurse, 有 research base nurse
, 还有 insurance base nurse.科室也挺多的。 医院里面干久了的护士，薪水挺高，
随便一加班，就是 75 per hour.

拿着OPT做了整整一年的RN，3个月前看看快到期了，跟nurse manager说快要走了，让
她帮着写推荐信，她说没问题。然后开始在网上搜，我是不想跟家人分开的，所以就还
在我们医院找，刚好有一个clinical RA （需要RN license)的职位，申请，面试，给
offer，不到两个星期。在这种经济形势下，我还是比较幸运的。面试的时候跟他们提

nursing student, 你可以和医院商量，也许不用。证书很好拿，一般是2-4周的课，有
的医院给付，但你要在他那里工作一段时间。nursing assistant 工作很累，很脏，不
是每个人都能干的。你可以先去医院看看，看他们都干些什么，如果你能过自己这关，
工作不是问题。好多nursing assistant 一边上nursing school, 一边上班，因为工资

她帮着写推荐信，她说没问题。然后开始在网上搜，我是不想跟家人分开的，所以就还
在我们医院找，刚好有一个clinical RA （需要RN license)的职位，申请，面试，给
offer，不到两个星期。在这种经济形势下，我还是比较幸运的。面试的时候跟他们提

文科,你随便GOOGLE一下子NURSING 的JOURNAL, 你就大概了解了NURSING PHD 都做什么
方向研究了.而且NURSING SCHOOL 的RESEARCH FOUNDING 很难申, 这就是为什么
NURSING SCHOOL 的TENURED TRACKED的职位很少,如果单纯教书的话,MASTER足够了,钱
也不多.没有全奖的话,不是很上算.如果有全奖的话,还可考虑 |
