There has been an amendment offered to the Senate’s CIR that will add a
nurse bridge provision to the CIR. This is SA 1409. The amendment was
offered by Sen. Hutchison and Sen. Schumer. Sen. Durbin immediately added a
second amendment that tacks on a training fee of $1500, much like the H-1
training fee. The fee is intended to help the US develop its own nurses.
All of this is great news.
Of course the Senate’s CIR is looking deader by the minute. We should k |

量医生的工作80%. 就象我们医院的NICU就两医生其他都是NURSE PRACTITIONER,想想看
吧,雇一个新生儿的专科医生得多少钱啊,他们可不是小儿科医生,他们是要做住院医+
FOLLOW=7年才能出来的新生儿专科医,价钱可不少,可是NP只是他们价钱的一半却能
COVER他们很多活.全美国*大多数*州NP是能独立开处方根本不需医生签名的.就象LPN和
RN干的活差不多,可挣的钱上差多了去了.不过说真的美国的NP太多了,不象RN特缺,说到
底就是NP一天能看很多病人,可RN最多就只能管5.6个病人,一个医院也就需要那几个医
生和NP还有PA,RN需求量相比之下当然多了.NP没找到活的,还是在用RN工作着. |

我是去年的五月入学的，ABSN.今年五月毕业，刚刚考了NCLEX,还不知道成绩。
我在学护士之前读了一年多的研究生，又学了一阵子先修课，比起来说，还是真正学护
士的时候最难，而且对我来说主要是一种心理上的考验。每个读护士的人都因为环境和
背景不同对难易个有感触，我以前学过医，所以学起考试的课程并不是很吃力，我们
nursing school考试又并不是很严，平时课堂quiz很少，主要的课一学期有三次quiz,
只要平均是70%以上就可以，100多人的班级一共到最后才淘汰了几个人。但我们有好多
那种无聊的课，像management,research之类，反倒是这种课最占时间，我也是这种课
上的最郁闷。我们班只有我一个国际学生，往往这种课时要组成小组的，一道这是我就
很紧张，这种纯文科要写文章的课美国人还是喜欢和本国人组成小组了，因为我们英文
不如人家嘛。好在平时还交下了几个朋友，不嫌弃我:),算是度过了难关。在有就是实
习，有的老师比较公正，但有的老师还是会对你有一些先入为主的印象的，因为你是外
国人，英文不纯 |

刚毕业20天，BSN，在拉斯维加斯。
今天有一个nursing home (是Nevada Health Association 认定的)打电话，下午面试
的时候就说我下周一可以开始工作了。
作为新毕业生，我不能太计较钱的问题，大家可能觉得$50000年薪不是很多，但是我已
经觉得很开心了。
主要是nursing home 的工作不是技术含量很大，对於一个新生很难有进步的空间，会
不会影响我将来到医院工作？
我发了很多简历到医院，但是完全没有回应。好一点的都是说，新毕业生要过一段时间
处理简历。很苦恼，因为医院迟迟没有回应，其实就算医院要我工资比这个低一点我也
没有关系，真是不知道该怎么办？ |

我现在刚到美国读本科，属于public health专业，我是从国内transfer过来的，我在
国内读了3年的护理专业，最后怕护理会被拒，所以选择了public health过来，并转了
60个学分，现在大概属于大三吧。
我本来就打算一过来就转回Nursing的，但如果转了，那60个学分肯定丢了大部分，很
多国内学过的课程，来到这边还要重修，起码2年半以上才能毕业，挺泄气的，而且现
在BSN出来，考了RN也很难留在美国了。
如果我继续读这个public health专业，大概一年半后就能本科毕业了，毕业后我可以考
那种2nd BSN Degree，再拿一个Nursing本科学位，或者直接考那种graduate program
for non-RN.之后还是能拿个护理学位...
究竟哪条路比较好呢？我已经报了下个星期的NET test了... |

在我们医院找，刚好有一个clinical RA （需要RN license)的职位，申请，面试，给
offer，不到两个星期。在这种经济形势下，我还是比较幸运的。面试的时候跟他们提
出要H1B，回答说应该没有问题。然后过了一段时间，自己也比较懒惰，中间过程省略
，今天OPT到期，昨天还没有收到通知，本以为明天要在家歇着了，结果今天下午被告
知H1B已经approved，明天可以上班了。好在是有惊无险，什么事情都没有耽误，中间
也没有gap。
仅发此文，告诉姐妹们，护士的工作也有很多种,不要局限在bedside nurse。但是有过
经验还是很重要的，我去年刚毕业的时候申请这种工作，就没有人搭理我，有面试，没
offer。

teach clinicals in a nursing school if you like teaching and language is
very good, or you can do both at the same time if you are very energetic.
For nursing, clinical experience is very important. |

My comment: Read only about nurse Ed Wozniak. At 35 he changed career, from
an auto worker to a nurse. Paragraph 2 says he had been in auto industry for
17 years. That means he started when he was 18. That makes me wonder why he
could receive a nuring degree in a year. However, he did have a bachelor

administrator,他几乎是照着一张list，问的几乎全是bahavial questions,要我举例
。我是new grad, 还问我为什么选DN,为什么不选医院，问我如果得到这个职位，最大
的挑战会是什么。
我没有得到这个职位，但是真的很喜欢dialysis nurse的工作。希望楼主面试成功。 |

我好，第一次TEAS我没通过，我后来又考了一次。说义工问题，不知你在国内学过医，
如果没学过，找一份医院的工作还是有帮助的。我在国内没学过医，我的第一份医院工
作是SITTER，后来是PCA，对我学习帮助很大。NURSING SCHOOL 很残酷，尤其是对我这
样英文不好而且从来没学过医的人。再说说孩子，你做完饭打理好孩子后，
最好出去看书，俩孩子在家，学习效率不会高的。关于学习，我当时是这样的，买一个
小RECORDER，上课录音，做饭开车时都可以听。上课之前一定要预习，这样上课你会听
懂很多。课间时找同学借笔记，补充自己遗漏的。下课要复习一下。我当时用的参考书
是ATI 的FUNDAMENTALS FOR NURSING。老师的NOTE很重要，如果只是OUTLINE，你要把
内容补充完整。以上供你参考。 |

交流量因而大增，口语能力也因此而大大增强。正是因为这样，原来一直没胆找工作的
我开始在网上申请起Nursing Aid 的工作。因为我已经有一年的护理学习经历，找起来
也还算顺利，只是我的背景调查花了很长时间，才最终在今年的七月份被正式聘任。从
那时到现在，我每周工作两到五天不等，反正上学期间就固定每周两天（基本都是夜班，每天8小时）
，只是在毕业考前暂停了两周（我的工作时间Casual,很灵活）。从那时到现在，我负担了我的一切学杂费用。
其实，学英语没有太多的诀窍，最关键就是多听多练。相信你一定会学得很好的。 |

而且面试的第一家不是很有心去，要我一个人cover一个facility，害怕！
面试也是很不正式，像拉家常。。。
因为知道他们同一个公司底下有不同的facility，就去附近的另外一个，直接上门找
Don了。
觉得那一个就好些，至少上班的时候至少有两个护士，而且DON说一定会给长些时间培
训新人。倒是很想去她那，但是只有on-call的位置
我也说有意去，回来给她发了Thank you letter。
总的感觉，如果没有选择的XDJM，如果要去Nursing home 之类，一定要看看facility
，要知道nursing home can be nusty. 上门找人直接问真的有效。大不了，别人冷落
你，但是我的经历是还没有人不见我的，见了就有直观的效果，对你了解他们有好处（
如果是那种有尿臭味的facility，我肯定不肯去，哪个地方肯定不是个好地方），同时
别人也对你印像。 |

1. 買很多本nclex的書 做很多的練習
(當然最好你知道你老師用哪幾本 可以問問老師)
因為很多老師有時會從不同的NCLEX書中
copy一些練習題出來
反正多看到一題算一題
2. 上課錄音
回家至少聽一次 但事要每個字都聽到懂
都超下來 (除了你確定是廢話的地方才不用)
會花很多時間
但很多時候老師的考題真的就是會講再我們以為是廢話的地方
其實我很懶
我也真的不想聽
但聽了真的有用
3.如果你真的沒時間
你可以跟一些同學借notes
要找那種很會做筆記,努力型的那種
多少也會有幫助
4. 對我來說老師的幫助大概就只有考完試
讓我看看考題 若我還是不懂 再請老師解釋
nursing senses 我是完全沒有
而且老師給的strategy 很多都是比較適用於美國人
對我個人來說啦
strategy我是道比較有基礎後才比較有用
在我拿第一堂的時候 對我的幫助不大
(那時超慘 覺得對的 好像都錯
我若用nursing sense 真的世必死無疑啊)
