今天和LD去看了看,update一下.
原来不在NIEHS,而在EPA的院子里,全名叫First Environments Early Learning Center.
EPA的院子很大,幼儿园的面积也很大,比我闺女现在去的Goddard大了好几倍.室内室外
的硬件条件是我们看过的附近几个幼儿园里最好的.
老师都比较精神,身材匀称,除了阿姨,还有阿舅若干.孩子们都挺快乐的样子.亚裔孩子
有一些,不太多,没见到黑娃,大多数是白娃.娃娃们都胖嘟嘟的.
娃娃/老师比例低于州立标准.比如,2-3岁班, NC是8,他们是6.
孩子们的父母大多是EPA和NIEHS的雇员,包括联邦雇员和Contractor.不是这两个单位的
其它Federal Agency雇员也可以.
收费低于Goddard,Bright Horizon,Primrose,高于Children's Campus,和Learning
Experience, KidsRKids 差不多.
提供三顿饭,其中两顿是snack.
排队仍然很久,说一般要等一年. |

查看了一些niehs几个小区，有几个看起来不错， southern oaks, Bexley at

发帖数: 2888 | 11 我刚刚提交了一个R01给NIEHS，在grant的eSubmission-PHS Assignment Request Form
里面，我注明了我希望我的grant提交给NIEHS，而且只有NIEHS，没有任何其他的
institute。
但是今天查NIH ERA状态的时候，发现这个grant被投给了NCI作为primary institute，
而且根本就没有NIEHS。现在grant的id是1R01CA000000-00（估计刚开始assignment）。
我们的项目是完全NIEHS的项目，研究环境分子对于人体健康的作用，我们有一部分实
验和肿瘤相关（这些环境分子也能增加某些癌症风险），但是绝大部分都不是。
不知道我怎么样可以改变这个assignment，已经给学校的grant office 写了信，也给
CSR写了信。
这还是第一次遇到这样的事情，我是极力想避免NCI。 |

我的问题是：我这个月马上要给NIEHS提交一个R21,我计划6月份的时候把这个R21扩充
一下去申请K22，不知道允不允许？因为这两个proposal是很相似的内容。读了好几遍
NIEHS的K22 instruction,都没有太明白可不可以。
它的instruciton说“Candidates are eligible for a K22 award if they have been
, or currently are, the PD/PI of an NIH R03 or R21 grant or a PHS or non-
Federal award that duplicates the provisions or research goals of an R03 or
R21 grant”。但是又说 “any concurrent RPG application may not duplicate the
provisions of the career award application”。

， 离机场也只有10分钟的路程。公寓是舒适的2室（2个独立卫生间）, 客厅也比较大
。年底我的现室友就去找他老婆去了，所以圣诞节房子就可以空出来。租金不到350一
个月（包括水费），电费和网络费平分就好。小区内中国人很多，这点我也感觉很好，
很方便。

的大力支持会增加拿到的机会？
我的另外一个问题就是我一直的方向和环境毒理关联不大，但是最近拿到了一批非常不
错的环境毒理的数据，所以想试一下。博后老板算是环境毒理的大牛，也是我们grant
里面唯一具有环境毒理背景的人，其他的人，包括我，都是做生物化学的。 |

何恶化一类疾病。
最近我们做出来一个另外的数据，是关于食物中的一个分子，同样的可以恶化这一类疾
病，可能的机理（调节肠蛋菌群，调节一些免疫通路）也是类似。
所以，我几乎可以在以前的那个R01上面，非常容易改动，就可以写出一个新的R01。实
验内容完全不一样，但是用的实验手段比较类似。这个新的R01会投给NIDDK或者NCI，
不知道这样可不可以？ |

然博后老板是环境科学的一个牛。
我独立之后，做了很多环境毒理的研究，数据有点意思。于是去年二月份投了一个
NIEHS的R01，分数是33%，提的意见还可以。然后我加了大量的实验，把他们的问题都
解决了，去年十月份投了第二次。这个月看到二投的R01分数还是33%，但是reviewer的
问题似乎更尖锐了。
我在投这两次grant的时候，实验数据都还没有发表出来。直到今年这个月，我们的环
境毒理文章才开始陆续被接受发表，最近有一篇Toxicological Sciences被接受发表，
已经印了出来；今天收到邮件，另外一片Science Translational Medicine小修改，应
该也会接受。这两篇文章我都是通讯作者。
我计划趁着R01中的preliminary data陆续发表出来，继续申请这个R01。我的问题是：
我是应该继续resubmission投同一个study section，还是换一个study section做新的
R01去投？
