most of the time it works. however, it doesn't some time. and when it doesn'
t work, it will screw up things like refactoring (java), hot swap code when
attaching to remote debugger, and it is not able to detect simple errors
such as missing class method.
anyone has the similar experience? any hint? |

customisation, NB is pretty flexy.

i am all for emacs, but when it comes to better project management, an IDE
is a must. plus, most IDE like netbeans and eclipse allows you to configure
emacs/vim key bindings anyway, so i don't really think one has to stick with
emacs to BSO, unless it's really needed, eg. quick fix on the remote box w/
o gui.
i use netbeans for my c++/python/java projects, all in one IDE. there're
some bugs with 6.9.1 (won't interfere with the building, though) but it

可以remote到linux server用GNU，也可以local用Cygwin的东西编。

concept] which IDE(EClipse or Netbeans) could be modified to be an embedded
IDE.
I worked on Netbeans IDE, and was able to show that I could use the modified
netbeans to debug an embeded project in 3 months.
So the company use Netbeans as base for their embeded IDE development.

Netbeans also be able automatically generates maven project. I will check if

么就是用的时候临时降。
比yoga2性价比更高的基本没有。其实yoga2没啥根本硬伤，硬件问题都可以diy解决。
比如wifi card可以自己换ac的，
hdmi口松可以自己磨。买不买就看喜不喜欢高分屏了。
大部分高端娱乐性机器都是高分屏了，程序应该很快会跟上。如果实在不喜欢高分屏，
就买business的mode，比如thinkpad x1这种。如果可以接受osx，和mac的外壳，mac
air也可以，买mac装win就算了。 |

plug-ins modules, similar to NetBeans for a medical imaging software.
NetBeans currently is not easy to be configured (one has to change the
source code and compile it), though modules can be added via xml.
Eclipse seemes interesting, but I want to know its interface etc.
BTW, will Eclipse support Java3D? |

NetBeans也有Free的版本吧？前一阵子还见大家讨论J2EE 1.4.2与NetBeans的bundle呢。
JBuilder有个Personal版本，不知道功能上限制掉了多少。
IntelliJ IDEA好像不是免费的。
我想大概我会选择Eclipse吧。我正准备开始做一个project，也要号称是Open Source的
，大概编程中使用开发源代码软件更合适一些吧，何况eclipse也不错。 |

花了点时间试图把项目转到netbeans上因为eclipse操作现在的项目太慢。
结果根本没法用，下面是遇到的几个主要问题。
1. 不理解cvs的 extssh authentication方式。wincvs和eclipse都认得。
2. 可以用ext或ssh代替extssh, 但ssh bug很多。恐怖的是不管怎样，每次cvs操作后都
会留下一个没关掉的cvs和一个ssh进程。
3. 对ant依赖太重。为了他要多维护重复的脚本和properties文件。
4. XML编辑器功能太弱，基本的schema定义，多namespace下的自动填充都做不到。
5. 手感太差。使用上和eclipse, idea, jbuilder的概念相差太大。配置在global,
user, project各个层次上的分隔 |

做Web比较多, 又懒得下各种各样的plugin. 而我想要的功能, 编辑器, CVS支持,
ANT支持, Junit支持, 内置tomcat, 简单Database browser等等Netbeans基本
一次download全部搞定. 另外4.0 还加了refactoring, 速度也比3.5/6要快.
还有就是, IDE习惯了一套, 基本上懒得去学别的, 我最早的时候一直用Emacs + JDE,
用了很久. |

关于配置我遇到不少问题。code style是一个。
机器上的项目基本上三类。公司的，自己的和参与的开放源码组织的项目。每个的code
style不同(换行，空格，括号等原则)，缩进字符不同，项目里文件摆放的结构不同。在e
clipse里很容易配。project,
global两个层次上都可以。再刁钻的要求可以通过建多个workspace来实现。idea虽然没
有workspace，但每个项目层次是有的。加上这些配置都可以导入导出，行得通。
在netbeans里或许我没找到怎么做，反正现在是寸步难行。
netbeans对ant的过分依赖也是令人头疼。他居然因为我在想建的项目里有build目录就不
让我建。

pleasant surprise. Overall I even felt that it was smoother than Eclipse -
as far as Eclipse's gtk binding is concerned. I still don't think Swing
beats SWT in Windows, probably very close in JDK 6 though.
On a side note, no, I'm still not switching over to NetBeans. 8-) One thing
missing which I noticed right away is the ability to highlight on the fly
all the references to the variable/type currently under cursor. It's an
