为什么免费了呢？原因看起来还挺好笑——因为旧金山的主要交通系统，Municipal Transportation System，简称Muni，在周五的时候被黑客入侵，黑客还在整个城市的Muni显示屏上留下信息：你们被黑了！所有信息都被加密了！
此外黑客留下了一个邮箱，以帮助Muni的高管们联系他们获取解密信息的key……邮箱后缀名是Yandex。
而Yandex是一家俄罗斯互联网企业，向用户提供电子邮件和社交网络工具。
一位Muni高层站出来，大方承认了这件事情，表示自家正在抓紧时间提出解决方案。
这件被黑的直接后果就是：Muni的售票系统停止工作了！
于是Muni干脆就向用户提供免费乘车服务，也算是感恩节意外惊喜啦！

the durations of the 10-yr and 30-yr notes have reached 8.5 and 17.5
respectively. that's way too high in my opinion compared to the historic
averages.
as for the munis. last time when i screened, most investable issues were

在fedelity muni bond里查，现在available 的muni 只有VT MA 少量几个品种。似乎

ask price, compared with 3rd party price. If the ask price is much lower

1. Inflation expectation rose causing treasury yield to shoot up in Nov.
2. The muni spread over treasury widened due to credit risk concerns.
Many (including Gross) said Muni market is overeacted. But I'm still waiting

DIY比买bond fund 好的地方我能想到的是
1。bond fund 有管理费。－－其实不高， 比如对NYF，是 0.25%
2。bond fund 是有起落的，而且到期会roll，会roll的东西存在一个问题就是roll的
时候会有cost。（比如一些期货基金，roll起来能把你的盈利全吃掉。－－在
businessweek上看过一篇分析文章）
3。bond fund 里的组合总有一些乱七八糟的东西。再以NYF为例：
SP评级 A- 或以下的占大约5.5%, 自己买应该可以光选 AAA 级别的？

complicated. Just give some examples here:
If I buy 5% coupon rate muni bond with a price at 108$, then sell it before
maturity at price 110$/106$. Is the 2 dollar counted as capital gain/loss?
or if I buy 0% coupon rate muni bond with a price at 58$, then sell it
