贡献一下本人的情况,供参考。
不在车厂上班，在 tier 1 auto supplier做engineer.
package如下。MSEE + 5年经验。
1) 年薪，100k，外加10%~15%的bonus.
2) 401k, match到6%的100%，立刻vested.
3) 每年17天PTO，有5天能carry到下一年。
exempt employee好像无所谓病假，事假，迟到早退，给老板说一声就行。
4）没有三大每年夏天的annual shutdown.
5）14天holiday, 包括 新年，MLK, GF, Memorial, 7/4，Labor,
Thanksgiving(Thr+Fri), xms eve through new year。

IC 设计，MSEE, 2年多工作经验。
1月底被告知 lay off 最后一天是3月底。
以前survive过一轮，这回是经济不好，整组坎。
当天开始重新修改简历。今天正式签了offer letter。
几点小小的体会：
1. resume很重要。
拿到的面试基本都是List上没有的position。因为对简历感兴趣，才准备联系我。
建议大家在广投简历之前，一定要反复修改。可以请比较有经验的人帮忙看看，哪怕只
是一些tips,都可能很有帮助。
2. hotjobs/linkedin
hotjobs.com我觉得信息最全。indeed.com 也不错, 个人还是prefer前者。
Linkedin是一个很好的工具，尤其是再对所要面试的公司做research的时候，可以提供
很多Information。另外上面recuiter很多，多建立 |

full-time CPT外边工作了一年多， 经历也都是编程的。
觉得有些自卑，背景很烂没资本去讨价还价，拿到offer就不错了，但是LD说多几k是几
k，值得么？

发帖数: 3477 | 10 1. L1A更方便GC申请，不过估计你是L1B,和H1B没大区别。反而是公司给你办EB2还是
EB3更关键（因为你本科学历，估计加入该公司前也没有5年经验吧）?不管那种都需要
公司sponsor。
2. H1B是3+3,L1似乎是2+2（不肯定）。layoff没影响。
3. 是，至少你不会再是老板的心腹培养对象了。
4. 可以。
5. 和老板讲吧，看他多想留你了。
总之，公司负担学费和来美机会，服务2年不算吃亏。但是来美不要希望太高，大气候
是江河日下。IC更是人满为患。你如果之前没有IC经验，一个MSEE，没有GC，找工作很
难。
我看可以来玩玩，然后再作打算。 |

确实没有IC经验，只在本科FYP做过一点很浅的IC。能否再给点入行经验？MSEE不够的
话，难道去读PHD？印象中读了PHD基本上就走学术路了，而且像IC这种工程专业，前沿
都在工业界吧，听说学术界现在有前途的也就是做做device，而architechture方面基
本被前人发掘光了。要是读了PHD，研究器件什么的，对于以后进公司做circuit
design有帮助吗。
另问个EB2的问题：EE内小转行，之前的工作经验在申请绿卡是能否算入相关经验，例
如开始做两年IC testing，读了硕士，之后出来做IC design，可以算作master +2年相
关经验吗？

国内硕士学位是工学硕士，专业是电力系统自动化。
这个专业在美国是EE的一个方向，而不是一个专业。
绿卡申请的时候准备用MSEE作为绿卡广告的requirement。
这个是不是有点问题？不知道学位证书翻译过来不是electrical engineering,会不会
有问题？
本来不担心这个的。
可是上次申请eb2，用美国这里的博士申请的，结果被audit了。
干脆重新来申请一次，只好改用国内的master了。

Global engineering program), 可以提供技术和日语的training。我有兴趣到日本工
作，可惜不懂日语，这个program似乎挺适合。但是貌似起薪不高，230，000yen/month
，而且也不知道training出来后算是fullcast的雇员还是他们的客户（sony, hitachi,
panasonic）的雇员。本人是fresh MSEE, US citizen. 有了解这个公司的吗？谢谢！ |

公司A：是我现在实习的公司，主要是产品是光纤通信和wireless backhaul啥的，用的
编程语言是python，给的薪水是7万多吧，马上办h1b
公司B：做路由器和交换机的公司，我去了主要是开发L2/L3的协议，但是一年以后才办
h1b，工资很少5万多吧，第二年后调到正常工资
感觉第一家公司用python的话以后跳槽麻烦，去通信公司一般要c/c++, 去做网站的话
，咱啥framework或database又都不会，感觉有点两难。
