首先再一次感谢游行的组织者和参与者们，没有你们，大家的声音更不会被听到。最近
有好多人自发的在抵制ABC和Disney,给他们的 sponsor打电话抗议等等。 这些行动都
很好，如果要是有一个组织起来的联合的行动，我觉得力量会更大。今天给孩子讲我们
家里的boycott， 用的是 Rosa Parks 的例子，小孩子一说都知道，所以其实美国学校
对race 这个问题的教育，还是挺到位的。在这种大背景下，JK 这个所谓的“笑话”，
真是对华裔赤裸裸的蔑视。
我们组织起来，告诉他们不fire JimmyKimmel,我们就开始 boycott ABC和Disney 吧。

of a3. Bit the houses in Montgomery is cheaper than wp. The disadvantage is
there is no train station on Montgomery. If you are not working in the city
Montgomery is better.

从1996年到2016年，在美国求学的中国学生形象发生了巨大变化。20年前的出国留
学生往往被认为是中国最好、最聪明的一批学生;而现在谈到留学生，则逃避不了『富
二代』的标签，然而从来没有哪一个标签能代表一群人，很多凭着第一直觉贴标签的人
没有看到的是中国留学生在逐渐超越自我。
1996年，当Lingjia Hu刚从中国到美国的时候，她因为获得了奖学金才能在科罗拉
多大学医学院完成博士后学习。来自医学世家的Lingjia说她想以科学救国，但国内没
有充足的机会。当时，在Lingjia的家乡长沙，即便是最好的医院，里面的灯也会因为
供电不足而经常跳闸。她搬到科罗拉多之后，在一家美国家庭homestay。毕业后，她结
婚生子，在丹佛定居。
Yikun Wang在2015年成为了美国东北大学的一名大四学生。Yikun来自相对贫困的
安徽省，却在这所一年学费超过44000美元的私立学校支付全额学费。他和其他两名中
国学生合租。他说，他经常看到其他中国学生翘课、开豪车、去市中心买奢侈品。

这3个学区都是人数很多的学校，高中毕业生每年有400人左右。学校的整体水平啊，是
差不多的。虽然 MONTGOMERY 的亚裔也不算少， 但是 WESR WINDSOR 那2个学校
因亚裔比例奇高，竞争比 MONTGOMERY 更加厉害， TOP 的学生水平 W W 那2个
学校应略强于 MONTGOMERY， 上藤校一级的人数比 MONTGOMERY 多一些。 |

论是midtown还是downtown， PATH都非常方便，车多而且可以到很晚，是LIGHTRAIL没
法比的。 如果不是去城里，这个优势是浪费了。当然，如果你的工作地点在PATH沿线
，也不错。 可供选择的就是以下几个区域：
1. Newport/Waterfront：水边的几个HIGHRISE，景色好，价格贵，一般一居室$

标 题: 博客第五篇 -- 好学区，还是稍差一点的学区

首先声明，本人的娃还小，以下文字都是我做为REALTOR从客人那里了解到的。
好学区是指如MONTGOMERY COUNTY的WOOTTON HIGH；HOWARD COUNTY的CENTENNIAL HIGH
稍差一点的学区是指如MONTGOMERY COUNTY的RICHARD MONTGOMERY，QUINCE ORCHARD；
HOWARD COUNTY的ATHOLTON，MARRIOTTS RIDGE 等中等偏上的学校。
美国的好大学，如常青藤大学，对入学学生的要求其实并不光看学习成绩，其它如体育
、艺术等方面的才能也很看中。如果光从学习成绩来看，高中成绩只要在学校的TOP 5%
-10%都可以报考好大学。光从这一点来看，其实上稍差一点的学校，对于学习竞争力很

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. -- Howard County officials said speed cameras are on the
way, and they've released a list of locations where the cameras will be
located.

The areas will be phased in over a four-week span.
Police will issue warnings starting Oct. 17. By statute, enforcement can
take place Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Frederick County中国人不是很多。很多中国人住在Montgomery County，包括
Germantown, Boyds, Gaithersburg, Rockville，那边中国店也多，生活会比较方便。
开车到Frederick大概半个小时吧，而且不会堵车。
Urbana是新兴的中国人比较集中的城市，离Frederick大概十分钟，学校也很不错。但
是买菜什么的还是要去Montgomery County。
当然Montgomery County房子最贵，Urbana其次，Frederick最便宜。
所以还要看你自己的选择吧。 |

看到大家讨论比较过马里兰 montgomery county 的几所好的高中，也见过大家讨论过弗吉尼亚 fairfax county 的几所好的高中。但没看到大家对 montgomery county 的高中和 fairfax county 的高中进行过比较。如果你即可以选择住在 montgomery county 也可以选择住在fairfax county，那么你会为孩子选择那所学校呢？想听听大家的意见。先谢谢了。 |
