Democrats shouting the loudest about Mitt Romney’s reluctance to release
his tax returns do not apply the same standards to themselves, according to
a McClatchy News Service report.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California and Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the two

A majority of Americans favor tax cuts for all, including the wealthy,
according to a new poll.
The McClatchy-Marist poll found that 52 percent of registered voters want
all of the Bush tax cuts extended, including those for incomes above $250,
000; 43 percent just want cuts extended for incomes below $250,000.
One surprise in the poll was that young voters ages 18-29 favored tax cuts

尽管喜莱莉‧克林顿在26日的第一轮总统辩论较获好评，但她并未赢得实际的选
票，甚至有可能流失原本的基本盘。很多人承认，克林顿的辩论风格和论点都更胜一筹
，但这些却没有办法打动选民的心。
在辩论当晚，宾州魏摩兰郡(Westmoreland County)有270年历史的酒馆“Tin Lizzy”
挤满了客人，都在观看克林顿与川普的交火。其中一名35岁民主党登记选民瑞德(Ken
Reed)在电视转播后表示，他觉得自己被克林顿“伤到了”，因为直到辩论结束，“克
林顿都没有说服我，她能为我的家庭和社区做任何事情”。
经营小企业的瑞德表示，这场辩论反而为川普加分不少，因为川普在增加就业和刺激经
济方面，提出了具体措施。
不止瑞德有此看法。在选情激烈的北卡罗来纳州，麦克拉齐(McClatchy)报业和“夏洛
特观察报”(The Charlotte Observer)的联合民调发现，一些原本有望支持克林顿的选
民，在辩论后反而放弃了她。

民類別，並授權移民官員較大裁量權，來決定哪些人可被遣返。同時，非法入境者一旦
被察覺，原本在14日內才可被加速遣返，新指南草案拉高門檻，凡兩年內非法入境者，
都可被遣返驅逐。無證移民被遣返的機率變大。
同時新指南草案，將要求移民官員加嚴申請政治庇護的初步篩檢標準，以加速不符申請
政庇資格者的遣返；新指南並將要求付錢給偷渡集團幫助子女偷渡的在美父母，將遭起
訴；以及擴大遣返的移民類別。
國土安全部長凱利所簽執法備忘錄草案中，快速遞解(expedited removals)程序適用人
群擴大，從原先歐巴馬時期只有當在離邊境100哩被捕、且入境14天以內的偷渡客，拓
展到在美國境內任何地方、非法入境兩年以內之人。
也就是根據歐巴馬政府指示，該程序適用對象僅限在邊境100哩以內偷渡入境14天以下
者。凱利的備忘錄將此對象擴大至在美國任何地點待了兩年以內者。
路透報導，上述指南草案包含在2月17日的備忘錄中，該備忘錄尚未發送給下屬執行機
構。白宮表示還沒有定案。
