教育不够，让女儿对父母的家庭文化和母国文化产生了某种意义上的歧视。这种对文化
乃至血缘的歧视，会造成孩子自卑的心态，对以后的发展不利。极端的例子就是加州的
那个混血变态。
女儿可以接受美国manner，但更要学会尊重他人的文化，特别是自己父母文化中的
manner。从这件事看，女儿缺乏对父母文化的认同和尊重，比较自卑，做父母的应该及
时补课，做相关的教育。
另一个角度看，如果女儿男友和他家庭不知道尊重其他文化的manner，特别是女友家庭
的文化的话，这种人也是不会尊重他女儿的，早分早好。
自然，如果女儿还小的话，Safe Sex或No Sex也是很重要的教育。

我们的情况比较特殊。宝宝快5岁了，因为小时候生大病，现在有身体有weakness，而
且语言有delay，智商没问题，但是感觉上比别人小一岁，不太听话，个子也小。
我自己小时候是野孩子，玩儿到大学，当然希望他天天上树掏鸟窝。可是他special，
我不敢take risks。我们想让他从小就培养良好的学习习惯，social skills，等长大
了能上大学，靠大脑吃饭。我自己一直在尽力的想办法教他，但是我自己不太会教育孩
子，脾气也急，所以想同时尽量给他选好的学校。
我考虑了公校，私校和蒙校。目前我们可以上一个9分的公校，我们知道的好的私校已
经过了deadline，而且以他现在的manner，听话程度我很怀疑他能不能过那个
kindergarten 的 assessment。目前我们还在看蒙校。
我们可以选择让他上公校，好处是9分的学校，很多附近的中国孩子一起上，校车也一
起做。我的concern是他平时和同龄的孩子玩的不好，如果是只有他和一个同龄孩子，

还有一个华裔小姑娘是被领养的，有几个亚裔同学但不多
同学的manner普遍很好，不得不说老美的孩子manner平均比中国娃的manner高一个档次
学校好老师好PTA给力，学习压力不大但是孩子们很爱学习，小学阶段没有任何种族问
题，当然也有可能因为她周围的好朋友犹太娃娃为主，犹太人对中国人挺友好的，同学
家里的三观教育绝对正确 |

生，要是没办法碰到男医生，有时还要唧唧歪歪半天，国内前几年这种新闻特别多。不
过如果病情老是没好转，或者得的是大病比如肿瘤，那病人就会务实很多，不管男女医
生，能治好病就行了。
说外科医生比内科医生粗鲁，其实只是人云亦云。据我观察，对病人最有耐性的其实是
Pediatric Surgeon，这个很大程度上是职业需要。其他的surgeon对大部分病人可以实
话实说，病人也期望他们这样，偶尔碰到needy的病人，来点tender loving care也无
妨，所以医院里最有bedside manner的往往是外科医生。

发帖数: 648 | 44 楼太高了，没兴趣读。只是让我想起出家前的一段经历。第一次见面，外表彼此算是都
过关了。谈话么，也还有合拍。一起吃了几次饭，慢慢发现了不太满意的地方。一是吃
东西声音大，还爱用筷子在菜盘子里搅啊搅的，完全没有table manner的那种。二是说
话有话搭子，几乎每一句话最后都要加个‘你知道没有’。说实在的，我还是挺喜欢她
的脾气和个性的，觉得人还不错，但没有table manner确实是个turnoff。偏偏我又属
于家教很严的那种，平时自己各方面都很注意的。但只date了几个星期，还没熟悉到可
以纠正manner的地步。一直对自己说，这只是小节问题，要多欣赏人家的优点。同时也
希望她能观察到我们吃东西的差别，会有所注意。时间一星期一星期地过去，她显然没
注意到任何问题，而我也实在想不出好主意。委婉地提到过，她也就一笑了之。一分钟
后又老样子了。长话短说，turnoff不是随便说说的，最后还是看不到希望。她显然觉
得一切都顺利，因为每次都是我很爽快的买单，所以最后很不理解，认为我在耍她。
这坑的LZ也是，觉得男生喜欢她的长相，吃饭主动付钱，就该顺风顺水了。除了相貌，
还有很多决定因素的 |

有门边有一桌人，我以为是服务员在吃饭，就晃进去了，以期引起服务员的注意。没成
想，人家是中午出来吃lunch的。汗。。
真正的服务员倒是注意我们了，在小朋友要弹钢琴前，含蓄地把钢琴盖给盖上了。领到
了个座。座下后，小朋友就上下左右眼睛打量了没完：
-妈妈，妈妈那有两只脚。。
一个长发女人塑像躺在门口，那可不是有两只脚心冲着你。。
-妈妈，妈妈，你看这个杯子
一个鸡尾酒杯的样子，上面放着个小蜡烛
-妈妈，妈妈，it's so not fair!
啊？why？//啊？难道他发现了种族歧视？？
-另外那个放蜡烛的杯子比我们的长！
-妈妈，妈妈，你有两个叉子

今年最喜欢的书是george saunders的小说集tenth of december (最喜欢的是书里最后
一篇的同名小说；也在new yorker上登过)；今年最喜欢的电影是american hustle,
gravity还有一代宗师；最喜欢的歌是网络大俗歌what does the fox say?!

她老大是小菜在一个蒙校上到3年级，没的上了转去公立，所以老二也要转过去，他们
本来是想让老二和小菜都继续留在蒙校的，我们两家纠结了半天还是都去公立的K了
然后所有小孩都适应的不错，家长们甚是欣慰，又省了银子又学了东西还enjoy life，
因为公立学校的活动特别多
我personal觉得除非是特别方便的私立，否则不合算。费事费钱不说，也不比公立多学
什么多受什么training。唯一的问题是manner的问题，我们跟小菜谈话，请她注意自己
的manner，她回答我们：这是为什么呢？我还没有想明白。。。真够气人的，:S. 但是
送私立她的manner就能好很多么，这也没人能打包票～～～ |

华中科技大学学生扔鞋挑战GFW之父方滨兴。昨天在武大发生的，今天上了《纽约时报
》！！！
我为华科骄傲啊！！！看到《纽约时报》上出现Huazhong University of Science and
Technology的时候，好激动！！！
