1. Point to alternative careers as what MadDoc has been doing.
2. Get people off their baggage:
Try hard but prepare for the worst. The worst is as happy as everyone else. People are not any happier once they make over 75k/yr.

MEDI banzu thought it was funny that someone said all the 'straight' people went into his 'elite school', and only bad eggs left on the old MEDI board.
Read below and tell me if Maddoc cant shut his mouth, why shall I? This is after he set up his own private club with the sole purpose to exclude me from getting information from others.

但是，一个好的论坛氛围，需要大家的努力。我们做为老生，应该已实事求是的态度引导后生们走好，走稳自己的路。人生只有一次，尤其是毕业时间长，没有经历过美国正规教育的老生们，我们已经没有"试验”"尝试"的时间了。三思而后行， 一旦做出了决定，就不要犹豫，大刀阔fu, 勇往直前。
尊敬的老前辈，这里是公共论坛，不是你个人的博客。老了，不但应该"自尊，自爱"，更要尊重他人的不同看法，意见，这样才能赢得更多的尊敬。“唯我独尊”“我是老大我怕谁”的心态是万万要不得的。这里不是"黑色会”，这里不需要“教父”！

那时是版主。
NP有NP的club,强烈建议PA,radiology tech, ultrasound tech,MPH都和NP学一学，建
立自己的club.在麦地有一个link,指引相关人士去相应的俱乐部，好找到大部队啊：）
我认识ultrasound tech, NP，PA的最后都去考steps去了：）。
现在residents,fellows, attendings都有自己的圈子，connection,说实话，不指望从
麦地能得到什么。回来说点经验就很不错了。进了住院医后，未来怎么办，我都是和当
初在麦地交下的朋友还有自己的advisor,chairman商量出来的，并不是麦地了。
版主没有必要象你所说的那样，给大家一个promise. 你去SDN吧？那里没有版主的：）
。管理经验值得借鉴。谁也不欠谁一个promise. SDN大家都很professional。
麦地风气这么糟糕，版主先整理版面，创造一个好气氛先：）。 |

hard work and personal connections that are the most important. It is not
some blogs by some 70ers that will make you a doctor.
Kaplan, UW and NBME. What is more to it? Chinese have become PDs or gone
into the Academy of Science way b4 this medi. I know quite a few people who
have matched in recent years. They didnt waste their time here. You will

minimum. Even this scope, is far beyond the scope what the applicant has
proposed. Let's come back to the topic, Medical Career is a broad concept,
include a broad scope of people. If a forum is designed only for a narrow
range of folks, e.g. for the folks who are matching this year, then this
