than x86 to get to tablet / smart phones, which is already happening.

I don't see why that's relevant to a wsn's growth path. As I said, age
plays a decisive role in how one should take on the development.
The "proper" skills designed for a 25 year old, is no longer proper skills
for a 45 year old. Hitting clean etc is no longer the decisive factor in
winning matches. Your optimal skill sets needed at age 45 will be different
from when you are 25.
