上星期去一个local bank 开了reward checking的帐户,我给这个bank 开了25000的支
票存在我
刚开的新帐户上,但我当时脑子糊涂在 Payable to的项目上写了这个Bank的名字! 我今
天才突然想
起我应该写我自己的名字,吓了一身冷汗. 当时开支票的时候我还问了那个
representative 是不是
要写Bank的名字,她说是的. 现在想起感到奇怪. 她当时怎么不指出我的错误呢?
我刚才上网查了一下我的帐户,发现倒是有Ledge Balance $25000在上面,但是上面还有
什么
Balance Adjustment -$25000. 弄的 |

结果脸冲下磕到了水泥地上，牙齿磕松了，流了不少血，已经送到附近Children
hospital的ER了。我赶紧赶到ER，看到宝宝下嘴唇破了，鼻子也流过血，最严重的是，
两个上门牙已经磕的严重变形，内倾。有三个老师在场，包括园长，说宝宝看到有小朋
友从台阶上向下跳，她也跟着学，结果摔了下来，几乎没有时间用手保护，所以摔的很
厉害，当时哭了5分钟，三个老师马上把她送来了。我们忙了一下午，跑了两个儿童牙
医诊所，结果所有医生都说根已经摔断了，只能拔掉。最后我们也只能接受这个事实。
经过了不长的手术，宝宝的两个上门牙都被拔掉了，她现在才3岁，到长出恒牙还有3,4
年，对她的饮食，说话，的影响现在还无法确定。
我和老婆都很难受，也很生气。毕竟可爱的女儿受了很多罪，这些都是在daycare发生
的。具体情况是这样的，宝宝幼儿园教师门口有一段水泥的walkway,绕过一段很矮的短
墙，上3级台阶，就可以走到铺着木屑的playground.我们以前就发现有小孩从那段矮墙

《廊桥遗梦》记得么？从Ames开车出去最多一个小时就到了，可以去看看。
在离Ames开车1个小时的地方，有个Ledges State Park，风景还不错，去
barbeque啊hiking啊都很好。看看照片：
往西开车2个半小时可以到边境上的omaha，那里有个动物园不错，从omaha往上
再开半个小时有个canyan（Iowa也有canyan!），那里属于真正的美国农村，感
觉很质朴亲切，风光秀丽，照片：
往东北开3个小时，是Iowa第一个国家公园Backbone，那里很大，绝对值得一去，
只是有些远。
当然，直直地往北开3个小时就是Minneapolis，可以逛Mall of America还有吃
dimsum.......往南开3个多小时是Kansas City，也有个mall不错是腐败的好去
处而且也有dimsum可以吃……唯一的遗憾是没有好的川菜馆子。
我不知道Iowa city附近有没有啥好风景，因为每次我们去都是为了逛mall和吃
饭…… |

目前仍旧报名的26人中，有10人两个地点都可以，有5人只想去梅森湖，另有11人只想
去响尾蛇山。因此，本次活动决定爬响尾蛇山。我们将分两个小队分别从West和Lake开
爬，在Ledge附近会师后一起下到湖边，估计是很有意思的一次活动。梅森湖我们下次
活动再去。报名去梅森湖的同学如果也想改主意参加活动carpool等，可以继续报名说
明一下。
由于愿意提供OTC出发carpool的同学取消了报名，请OTC出发的同学考虑能否互相拼车
，建议搭车者每人给车主5刀搭车费。
