I became interested in climbing at the end of 2001 and started running at
the same time to build endurance for climbing. At that time I could barely
run 1 mile.
In 2003, I ran two marathons, with time of 4:11 and 3:45. That year, I
logged 1200 miles in running.
Starting from 2003, I joined a climbing club in Seattle and focused on

发帖数: 669 | 4 Yes, larghetto is very slow tempo. I started formal lesson to learn piano a
little over a year ago. I should have started at the same time when my two
older kids started, but it's better than never. Now we fight for piano
everyday and have to have a sign-up sheet. Things will get more interesting
after my 3rd kid start piano in a year or so.
I will get help from a swimming coach to improve my technique. Maybe I can
try an Olympic distance triathlon next summer. |

大家好，
本人与朋友这个月long weekend去参加rmi的4 day rainier summit的登顶活动，感觉
压力很大，从负重（40－45lb）到trail的elevation gain等等，最近体力也不是很好
，背30lb的pack上mt. si非常痛苦。跟白人同事参加体育活动的经历让我担心会不会被
同行的白人壮男们健步如飞地拖死。很想听听中国人角度的意见。
如果方便借用gears的话十分感谢。现在只有普通hike和滑雪的装备，准备去租。

看到大家都在推荐，我也来推荐一把。
今天下午听了一场音乐会，满适合带稍大的小孩去听，like 八岁以上，让他们开始接
触古典音乐。因为这系列音乐会的设计，就是针对入门人士，用多媒体讲解的方式，深
入分析乐曲背后的故事。不牵涉乐理，不牵涉技巧，只讲音乐的故事。
2005 年时，波士顿交响乐团为了扩大古典音乐的市场，制作了一套“教材”，名为
Beyond the Score。这套教材包括了文字、图像、录音、甚至视频，来介绍一首音乐的
创作动机，音乐所描述的故事或景象，利用现场解说的方式，带领听众去欣赏本来可能
难以亲近的音乐。取得这套“教材”的交响乐团，可以根据脚本里的说明文字及其他多
媒体资料，在世界上不同地方照本宣科地演出。西雅图交响乐团一直在从事这项工作，
每年都有一系列基于此教材的音乐会。去年我们去听了韦瓦第的《四季》，今天是史特
拉汶斯基的《春之祭》。下两场是明年三月与四月，不同的乐曲。

BQ had been in my mind for many years. My BQ time is 3:20:59. My first
serious attempt was last year when I realized that I could no longer climb
with a badly injured shoulder. I followed 24-week AM plan. Unfortunately,

过去这10年，我知道的这版上公开报名，5+规模，技术性的户外活动就是白菜，
Larghetto
组织的 Hood，Rainier爬山，还有 muyang 的几次西部漂流。几位leader实在很值得称
赞。
如果还漏了其他活动，请补充。
我觉得大家在抱怨活动不够，版面冷清的时候，也先想想自己是不是有足够的
commitment。一年一次的大活动，你能确保参加吗？你能坚持体能训练吗？你能参加老
美club活动学
技术，或者请商业教练确保达到活动技术要求吗？
很多时候不是大神不敢带，是带不起来。 |

DylanLee同学7月3号时间不MATCH,不能和我一起上.所以我还在找人.很可能是我自
己爬到SCHURMAN就回头了.不登顶也没关系,有第一次的经历,以后再去.

until people started questioning his ability to finish with a sarcastic tone.
I think he was only curious about the way to run ultra. He probably had
question marks in his mind regarding whether ultra runs are so tough. That's
why he wants to experiment the way he thinks it's relatively easy to do.
Maybe he did under-estimate how hard this is since he never experienced it
