结果几天前收到保险公司通知，说保费涨了几百。
打电话去问Agent，Agent说保险公司故意的，开始给我们低价，等到我LD驾龄到6年了
，就说我们状态变了，要更新，然后保险公司重新评估，说我驾龄短，所以保费反而涨
了。
我们觉得这很过分，于是查了一下其他公司，发现给的价比之前还要便宜，于是决定
cancel掉换一家。然后那个Agent又说我们可以cancel，但是由于合同没到期，所以要
交4.5％年保费的违约金。我们觉得匪夷所思，难道你更新我们合同我们都没选择权吗？
于是我查了一下我们州政府的法律，发现如下一条：

搞得我买保险少买了一天。不过我今天打电话本来打算交这50刀的。结果交钱的那个选
项居然是人工的。她check了我的纪录找到了我的新保险信息,说 all clear 了。不用交了。 就算完事了。松了口气。估计不是这一天保险gap的事情，是我寄的新的保险信息他们没有及时更新。提醒大家换了保险公司一定要告诉原来的保险公司，不然原来的保险公司就会通知DMV 之类的地方说你保险过期。即使没有gap也要提供新的保险证明给DMV.比较麻烦 |

我原来买的车保是到7月9号过期，但是由于我疏忽大意，到了7月22号（就是昨天）才
在Progressive家买了保险。昨天付了半年的钱以后，progressive给我发来个邮件，
说让我把我之前那家保险公司给我的保险卡寄过去，用来证明我从一月22号到7月22号
是有保险cover的，不然我的premium rate might increase. 所以我现在的问题就是我
是不是一定得把我过期了的保险卡寄给progressive 呢？ 如果寄过去他们就能知道我
有13天的 lapse! 这样好像就属于high risk drive了。我很不厚道的想过，如果不寄
过去会不会侥幸就不被发现了？
矛盾呀，请问版上有没有朋友遇到或听到过类似的问题了？真心求建议！在线等，谢谢

发帖数: 15 | 40 暑假被导师派到另外一个州，最近才回来；发现从八月初开始因为信用卡支付保险被
Decline，导致保险没有续上。 Geico 没有email 通知，而只是把信寄到家里，室友又
是完全不管事的那种，所以没有通知我。现在DMV把
Registration Suspend，并且总共大概要付近$500的Penalty.
现在想办法跟DMV的人谈，希望Waive一部分，理由主要是下面三点:
1. 我之前信用卡丢失，所以有一段时间卡被关，应该就是这段时间保险Payment被
decline。
2. Geico完全没有Email通知我Payment被Decline的事，导致我完全不知情。
3. 最重要的是，我这几个月不在家，可以用机票证明，车也完全没有开过，一直放在
那里。
不知有没有人有这方面的经验，能够提供一些建议？
如果实在不行，因为打算把车卖了，之后可能会迁离此地，不知有没有逃费的方法？ |

我打电话，告诉我最好留comprehensive,因为可能一年后回来保费会上涨.因为我在的

执照和牌照，保费也会上涨。
这一点也不reasonable.保一个三无（无车无照无牌）产品，只为了将来还不知道保费

事情是这样的。我今年年初在T州的S保险公司的名叫Ms. P的agent手里买了半年的保险
，保险期为2015年1月11日至2015年7月11日。7月20日的时候我刚好要搬到M州，查看了
S公司的保险发现已经过期，因此在多方比价之后买了G公司的车保，保险期为7月20日
至2016年的1月20日。
可是7月24日S公司的人居然打电话过来催款。我解释说我的保险只到7月11日而已，而
且你们没有提醒我保险到期，害我有lapse of coverage，所以我要cancel你们的保险
。7月31日S公司发邮件过来说保险已经cancel掉了，但8月20日又打电话过来说保险没
有cancel成功，要我付40%的违约金才可以cancel。
请问大家这种情况合理吗？不是保险过期之后就相当于已经cancel掉了吗？我在7月11
日之后就没有接受过S公司的保险服务，而且7月11日至8月25日也不至于要付40%这么多
吧？
