不成为独立候选人参选。当时把他选下去的对手Lamont也是被moveon.org
支持的候选人。
尽管Lieberman在州内的民调很高，polls说明他能够打败共和党人当选，
但是他却未能拿到自己党内提名（well, 也可以说他自己先退出，
whichever way you wanna call it.)
pundits对于Liberman最初的失利很兴奋，他们做出的预言如下：
1. 以后的选举是互联网的革命，Lamont在internet上表现尤其出色。
2. 任何和共和党走得太近，路线太central的议员，结局都不太妙。
因为民主党被左翼极端分子hijacked了！
3. Iraq war是唯一的评判。Liberman voted for the war, he's over.
Lamont只需攻击他这么一点就够了。

的歹徒，在被劫匪用榔頭將他打至頭破血流後，憤而拿出手槍反擊，連射數彈將劫匪擊
斃。因這位司機屬合法持槍，歹徒又入室搶劫在先，因此經警方調查後，被認定為正當
防衛，暫未受任何控罪。
案件發生在北卡州Durham郡LaSalle街的Duke Manor公寓群，警方在17日凌晨1時15分接
到報案，到現場後發現一名非裔男子倒在公寓外的地上，送醫後宣告死亡。警方稍後確
認死者為18歲的Antonio Lamont Elliot Jr.，正是剛剛發生的入室劫案嫌犯，在逃跑
時被遭劫的住戶開槍打死。這家經營紐約市至南北卡線路的長巴公司，總部設於曼哈坦
華埠，華裔業者18日證實了這起案件。業者並透露，案發地點是該公司的宿舍，是南來

地时间28日，疮普总统一再表态称他正考虑对纽约州等疫情严重的“热点地区”，实施
为期两周的强制隔离，有关正式声明将很快发布。
然而此事遭到了纽约州长科莫的强烈反对，他在美东时间28日傍晚5点多接受CNN采访时
称这么做是不可行且不合法的，会造成混乱和恐慌，“这将是联邦政府向这些州宣战”。
没过几小时，疮普自己变卦了，晚间8点多发推改口称没必要对纽约等三州进行隔离。

28日，疮普称正考虑对疫情最为严重的“热点地区”，即纽约州及相邻的新泽西州、康
涅狄格州的部分地区实施强制隔离措施，有关声明将很快发布。
《华尔街日报》报道称，措施只会对那些试图离开“热点地区”的人作出限制，而不是
进入的人。但除了称措施不会影响正常贸易及运送货物外，疮普并未透露更多具体细节。

毙。因这位司机属合法持枪，歹徒又入室抢劫在先，因此经警方调查后，被认定为正当

2014二十年间的调查显示，民主、共和两党选民的意识形态差距不断拉大；而对1949年
以来国会众议院跨党派合作情况的分析则表明，大致从1980年代开始，议员们跨党派合
作的概率以惊人的速度衰减。2010年共和党内“茶党”分子的造反夺权、本届总统大选
各路“重口味”候选人的粉墨登场，更是令不少观察家大跌眼镜，直呼美国政治已经到
了剧变的临界点。
为什么美国政治会在几十年里迅速两极化？论者往往从社会、经济、文化等多个方面的
