and do the H1-B transfer. The old job is electrical engineer (job code 003
for H-1B). The job code for the new job could be 030 for H-1B (system
architect/engineer). Both companies are in the wireless communication field.
I will use H-1B transfer. Are those two jobs considered same/similar? Will
the job change affect my pending I-485? My EB2 I-485 is pending with PD 02/

大家可以讨论。一般来说会有三个job title, H1b job title, current job title,
Perm/140 job title。
理论上来说H1b title和current title需要保持一致，也就是说如果你title有变化，
需要通知相关部门修改h1b title。
如果你的h1b title和current title不一样，但是又没有改h1b title怎么办？那就忘
了你的current title吧，用h1b title。因为你在美国的合法身份是h1b，title也需要
是上面那个。
perm/140 job title是你未来的工作title，也就是你拿到绿卡之后公司要offer给你的
title，不是current的，所以可以和h1b或current title不一样，而且不要低于你的
h1b/current title。如果低于了就很让人怀疑，比如说你current title是senior

上，从古到今的杰出人物，极少是国家和民族培养的结果。我们倒是要问，如果Jobs这
样的人出生了，他有机会成为Jobs吗，周围的亲人和社会能允许他走自己想走的路吗？
当大家争相走着多数人公认的正确的道路，抱着多数人认同的信条，做“应该做”的事
，甚至不允许自己的小孩用左手写字的时候，有多少人有勇气向Jobs一样忠于自己的直
觉和内心深处的信念，做“想要做”的事，哪怕逆流而行？
Jobs商业上的成功，未必因为他预见并迎合了大众的心理。恰恰有可能反过来，他创造

这次Jobs露面，大家普遍反映是Jobs看上去气色比去年九月和08年好得多。
但是ValleyWag说Jobs看上去身体不行了。
不过很可疑。首先Walt Mossberg和Jobs的交谈都拍下来了，看着谈笑风生啊。
第一个video想表现Jobs在台上走路的速度比以前慢，但明显是加工过的。
最后一段走路“快”的video一看就是加速放的。
第二个video就是Jobs慢慢边走边和人聊天，手里还拎个包。没觉得有什么不对劲的。

If I use indeed.com to search job by using "advanced job search" to show
jobs only from employer website, I saw lots of jobs posted within a week
based on indeed website. But some jobs did post several months before. Does
it mean the job is posted out again, or the indeed website shows wrong
information regarding when the job is posted. Any clue? Thanks. |

都不错，讲的也很有内容，而且talk基本的structure也都对：开头讲问题重要性，结
尾讲future work，中间是一两个具体work。开篇和futurework没太多可说的，因人而
异，大家都能说的差不多。主要问题出在主体talk部分，最大的感觉是有些同胞没有意
识到在job talk里这个level of details跟technical talk很不一样。
首先要意识到，audience很不一样：technical talk的时候，听讲的就算不是做你的问
题的，也是你的area的。job talk的时候，大部分audience都完全不了解你的area，他
们都很smart，他们都有scientific research的common sense，但是如果你直接用一些
他们不懂的terms而不给出common-sense-based定义，更有甚者上来就列些公式，那你
就直接把他们turn off了。所以一定要换位思考，想想如果自己听另一个领域的job

One is permanent one, in non-profit place. Originally asking for Master for
that job. I'm a Ph.D.
Another one is a two years job, in a dream industry company. Job is asking
for PhD.
Salaries are almost same for both jobs. Location are same. And both jobs
issue H1B. However, for the job description (also future career direction),
I'm more interested in the temporary one.
