Most important, a job has to meet Laotu's Three Factors for a good job.
There are many Bio Post Docs, who all found good jobs after short training
without go for another useless degree. They are all happy about their change
no matter TEMP or Perm jobs.

本人情况如下：
我两年前申请h1b时用的job title 是chemist，但是随着公司部门的变化，我现在实际
所做的工作是quality management，所以我实际的job role更像是quality engineer。
这几天，公司正在给我准备PERM，由于公司规模不大，绿卡律师是我自己联系的（他也
帮我办过H1b）。
现在问题是：
在PERM/140 阶段，我该用哪个job title？
• 律师给我的建议是 Senior Chemist，他认为和h1b的job title 保持一致
比较方便。
• 公司的HR和legal team认为我现在的job role已经不是chemist了 需要用
quality engineer 去申请。但是这样的话，我的律师告诉我在做PERM 之前就还得做
h1b amendment，又是一笔不小的费用，如果不走premium processing，估计还得耽误

不应该总是拉着Gates来做对比，这对Gates并不公平。虽然Jobs本人非常喜欢这么干，
还干了好多年。攻击对手拔高自己在他来说是天经地义，我们旁观人也这么思考就有点
被他“扭曲现实力场”了。
我也读了这本传，一方面是越读越感叹Jobs的牛，另一方面是越思考越感叹Gates更牛
。呵呵。
个人认为，他们两人是不同类型的牛人。如果非要比较一下的话，乔布斯的成就还有很
多不如盖茨的地方。不客气说，他转向ipod等所谓创新，正是由于在微软的领地他实在
干不出啥来，只能另辟蹊径。微软在PC操作系统方面的垄断优势是空前的，也很有可能
要绝后。至今苹果没有任何一个产品在自己的领域具备如同Windows在PC操作系统的市
场地位。至于未来，就更难说，真正的战争要等Win8出来了才算打响呢。
苹果自己在创新方面也绝非那么楷模，Gates单枪匹马一句话就让Jobs在十几个下属面
前说不出话来，“嘿，史蒂夫，只因为你在我之前破门而入施乐公司的房间，拿走了电

照片应该是真的。那辆被人当作是作假证据的破车大概是别人从医院给他ride回家。他老婆送他吃早饭然后去stanford medical center开的车从尾灯形状看似乎是辆Audi。还有就是他的turtleneck的确是收在裤子里面的，外面套了个黑灰色的外套。
不过有一张Jobs的背影看上去特瘦的照片明显是PS过的。照片里有一个残趴sign，上面画的轮椅的轮子都成椭圆形了。肯定是把照片给挤扁了，好让Jobs看上去比实际瘦。

能有关。
他确诊后拖了一年不让开刀，要上自己的diet疗法，最后股价大跌董事会强制才开了刀。
他那个种类的胰腺癌有希望存活的，但估计也架不住病人strong headed 瞎搞，让
cancer在肚子里从容扩散一年。最后换了肝也没用。

他妈妈的父亲（也就是Jobs的外公）坚决反对Jobs的父母结婚。他们家是小地方的
catholic，女儿嫁个叙利亚穆斯林估计的确是比较难以接受。当年的社会也不大可能做
单亲母亲。
Jobs的妈妈生下他以后还拖了一段时间没有签adoption paper，因为她父亲快死了，死
了就没人管了，就可以结婚养孩子了。结果还是没熬过她父亲，最终签了。然后没过多

，会承担何种责任或损失？
本人MSA毕业，之前有个1到2年的accounting工作经验（包括full time job +
internship job).5月刚毕业，到现在啦，还在找。跟大多数刚毕业的xdjm在一条船上。
找工作找的很辛苦，不想这样没有工作的熬下去。打算找个temporary job,期间，再找
full time job。找到full time job,就跳。这个好像不太可能吧？
很多公司是不是不prefer做过temporary job 的candidate 呀？

1. Phone interview with recruiters. This is a screening process. They
usually ask you why you want to go to their place. You have to convince them
that you like the location. They need to believe you have a "tie" to this
place (Family, spouse. used to go to school there, etc). Recruiters also are
interested if your spouse will need to find a new job if you are relocating

I am about to get an engineering PhD. My original idea was just finding a
job in my field. But after some try, it seems that it's not so easy. Maybe
for many junior positions, I overqualify a bit.
just know a little about quant. never really thought about it much because I

first of all, jobs and woz are both competent technically. jobs was
adequate, while woz was brilliant.
2ndly, for the stuff they are pioneering in the 80s, it's so cutting edge
that there's no college curriculum covering them, even if they want to study
it in school. certainly with what we know now about PC they seem tame -
but for the era what they did was very much at the bleeding edge.

NEW YORK (Steven C. Johnson) - Private-sector hiring surged in December as
employers added 325,000 new workers while claims for jobless benefits fell,
raising hope that recent labor market improvement would continue in 2012.
The ADP National Employment Report's December job tally surprised economists
