新春伊始，万物复苏。密西根西安交通大学校友会于2012年2月5日在大底特
律地区Southfield召开了成立大会。会议由沈惠贤学长主持，共70多位校友及友人参加
了会议，其中既有1955年入学交通大学后随校西迁的郑嘉一学长，也有2011年入学目前
在密西根大学迪尔本分校交流学习的在读学弟学妹们，更有很多在密西根安居乐业的昔
日交大学子。在中国人传统寓意团团圆圆的元宵佳节来临之际，年龄跨度超过半个多世

USA schools do not give intensive training to these stuffs.
The relationship between the ACM prgramming contest and computer education is
like recreational maths and maths education.
Recreational maths can somewhat improve your maths skills, but do not take it
too seriously.

I agree that Fudan Management School has very good hardware. Better offices
and equipments than Economics School, SHUFE, Jiaotong, etc. Their offices
are even larger and newer than mine, hehe. But you have to pass some review
at the end of the second year, though the contract is for three years.
Otherwise, your salary will be cut in half! For fresh PHDs, it is not
unusual to have no publication by the end of the second year,

感谢以下学校的placement原始信息。
以后你想成为什么样的人？
现在还有机会思考或者yy。。
不过呢。。如果你想继续phd。。并且。。是在一些10～50之间的phd项目度过5年或者
更多。。那么以下也许是个不错的信息。。用来估计以后会是什么样的日子。。而不是
去畅想。
当然。。也许你想找个跳板继续申请phd。。于是luckily。。这个list里的学校基本属
于大多数跳板。。即使说某些号称极好的跳板。。最多能保证你的学校层次。。所以。
。对你来说。。也是个参考。。
永远不要想着自己是个例外。。只要搜一下这些人的背景你就会发现。。要有例外。。
他们中的大多数应该比你更容易遇到例外。。
这几个学校的placement都不是最全的。。应该还有一些没有被place的人。。但是几乎

第一位参加国际数学家大会的中国人是周培源（Pei-Yuan Chou）。1928年他从Caltech
博士毕业后赴德国莱比锡大学跟随Heisenberg研究量子力学，他到达欧洲时，离莱比锡
大学开学日期还有一段时间，他利用这段时间经法国巴黎去意大利参加了第八届国际数
学家大会，并宣读了他关于广义相对论的博士论文。
第一位以中国代表身份而非私人身份出席国际数学家大会的是熊庆来（King-Lai Hiong
/Ching-Lai Hsiung）。1929年北京成立了中国数理学会，1932年由该会派出了熊庆来
（他正要去法国进修2年）赴瑞士作为中国代表出席第九届国际数学家大会，但未在大
会上做报告。
第一位受邀做大会1小时报告的华人是陈省身（Shiing-Shen Chern），在1950年战后重
新恢复的第十一届ICM上。（1970年陈省身在第十六届ICM上再次受邀做1小时报告。）
