下到底是老师教的方法不正确，还是我学的有问题？
在读computer Science的Master， 这学期修了Design and Analysis of Algorithms这
门课， 使用的教材是 “Introduction to Algorithms 3RD”
每周一节课，每节课三小时。
老师的教课方法是这样的：
1. 要求学生上课前提前阅读指定的章节
2. 上课时对指定的章节进行Quiz
Quiz形式：
最开始三周，每个人挨着提问。答对的满分，答错的30%考勤分。别人没有答对，其他
学生可以补充，每答对一次的30%分值。提问内容都是课本中的概念和理论。
整个提问时间大约1个半小时。后一个半小时讲答案。然后下课。
最近两周改为笔试，两道题，都是课本中的范例。可以看书来补充完整。测试时间大约
40分钟左右。然后试题收回去，开始讲答案40分钟左右。
剩余时间讲一个例子，第一节课讲的例子是，平面中有N个点，寻找找最近的两个点的

发帖数: 915 | 20 我觉得这要看具体是什么形式的study。无论哪种，都是应该先读一下相关文献，这个
省不了。自律差的，就组织学生挨个在journal club汇报，自己就被迫读完了。
然后如果是实验性质的，我都是等实验结果都出来，连图都画好了，是非常final的画
法，captions都写得很正规。然后开始写methods,results（围绕这些图，否则我不知
道怎么写），然后回到Introduction,然后discussion，最后才是abstract，这时的
abstract通常可以写得比较出味。
但是我如果做很大的模型paper，一定要在建模初期就开始写introduction，搜集所有
文献，因为模型的参数大部分都是要符合别人生物实验的发现，或者别人模型的参数，
开始定错了，又得重来。要是随便定，又会被reviewer质问，说不出道道是模型study
的致命伤。如果每个参数都有出处，那就心安理得。 |

不过这编辑部也傻逼。一般introduction里追着别人另一篇文章咬的，都应该给被咬的
人审稿。可能有条死规定，就是同系的不能当审稿人。这种情况应该变通下的。发表前
给楼主审一下，也不至于被comment。 |

给学生改文章，如果觉得成果不是很好，真的没什么动力改。
当然我比较负责，还是想尽量快速改好的。不过一般introduction都得我写，那个还挺

发帖数: 57 | 35 从板上看了不少面经，回报一下，谈谈几点经验，不对之处大家请指出。
1. Program Interview Exposed，Programming Pearls，Introduction to Algorithms，
板上的面经和careercup上面近一年的题目最好都能过一下。有时候，面试题目很可能就
是Introduction to Algorithms后面的习题。有点像准备GRE/TOEFL了，真题还是很管用
的。
2. 面试时候的coding题目，一般不超出上面的范围，但是要注意，题目会有变种。
比如说，常见的那个给定一个数组，找出missing的字母出来。一般assume知道最大的
字母的大小或者范围。我们都知道O(n)时间和O(m)空间的算法，其中m是数组里面最大
的字母。这个问题可以有很多变种，比如说如果数组里面是否有重复的字母或者缺少了
多个字母，需要返回错误代码，如果只少一个字母，就返回那个字母。如果是Unicode
的话，又需要怎么处理？
对于这样的变种问题，先说常见的问题的做法，再想办法解决变种。另外，也不能太过
追求时间空间复杂度，比如说在那里想有没有O(n)时 |

首先把linkedin自己的profile弄好，这就是你的网页了。可以在名字后面写seeking
XXX position什么的。写简短的介绍和skills。
如果发现A公司有opening，用linkedin搜A公司，然后会看到公司里面你的1级/2级/
group级 connection：
如果有1级的，good job,直接查到email送resume过去。
2级：看能不能加进来：group, introduction，一般不要friends request。如果你认
识的人有认识A公司的，通过introduction建立connection。
3级：你networking做的还不够，继续努力。
group：可以通过group加过来，就是request connection选择group。至于加入group：
校友组，地域组，job 组，技术组......
另外一个可以做的就是加recruiter，一般他们会把email放在名字后面，直接用email

视.brooks brothers还不错,如果不想花太多钱的话.
2. Glassdoor.com挺好,behavioral的问题基本上都对路.这个一定要准备.
3. 电面一次:基础问题+自我介绍.面试了一天:11个1-2-1的面试.没有presentation.面
试的人从VP到senior的engineer都有.面试的人先在linkedin上查下背景,至少要说对名
字,了解对方的背景,找找他们的文章看看,对回答问题有帮助.
4. 工作是硅公的工作.能准备的问题就是什么CMOS的能带图,floating gate,和相关的
物理现象等.找几本比较难点的semiconductor introduction这类书看看基本上没有什
么问题,然后就是模电,数电.其他深入的问题,和项目相关的问题,就看专业知识了.了解
相关的领域的知识.PhD研究的领域有点窄,但是很精.
5. 印度人很喜欢问问题,这个还是很professional的.但是口音有点不适应.这个主要是
自己英语也不怎么样.

find an efficient way to decide if two ids are connected by 1 hop or 2

了很多宝贵的信息，但是过去一直很懒，主要潜水，这次正好利用空闲时间，把自己的
几次找工的经历加以整理总结，算是回馈一下版面，也希望对版上诸位朋友有所帮助。
在这系列文章里，我尽量不谈具体公司的面试题，一个原因是签了协议, 另一个原因
是已有的资料已经很全面。 career cup, leetcode, glassdoor, 和本版题目包罗了
市面上绝大部分技术类题目。本来我想做一个总结面试题的网站，后来发现leetcode
已经在那儿了，而且比我想做的还要好，遂作罢。我会把我的一点的练习编程和准备技
术面试的要点整理以后换一种方式来给大家分享。
用马甲发贴是想主id以后还可以去各版随心所欲胡喷，也希望生活中认识的朋友不要点
破。
我会尽量比较客观的描述，因为对大多数人来说，找工作就如小马过河，老牛们自不用
发愁，想去哪里去哪里，反过来，能一路G，T，出国的网友们，就算不是人中龙凤，也
绝对不是小松鼠。 所以作为一个摸着石头过了几次河的小马，提供一些客观参数和装
