sell home insurance through affiliates, such as Travelers, HomeSite, etc.
You do get a customer service number from Geico.
Last year mine is Geico-Travelers. This year they increased the price. So I
asked around. Geico's representative somehow suggested I can try a different
geico insurer, and I ended up with Geico-HomeSite, lower price with higher
coverage.

六月份去Denver在Alamo租了两周的车，中间正好赶上一次冰雹，
还车的时候被告知车被雹子砸了，需要修理，具体数额需要进一步评估。
因为有AMEX的premium car－rental insurance，也不太担心
直接file了claim，然后不管了。
大概9月份的时候收到Alamo的账单，修理费加管理费以及loss of use等
乱七八糟的加在一起4600多。当时就觉得租车公司太黑，还好有AMEX的
保险，也不用怎么操心。
11月份收到AMEX的最终赔偿清单，赔了3900多，还剩下700多的样子，
说是loss of use的300多需要utilization log才能赔付，剩下的
administration fee什么的他们不管。比较郁闷，暂时放在一边。

有贷款,lender一定会买lender title insurance,当然羊毛还是buyer出.
但是owner's title insurance确实不是必须的,因为这个风险完全在owner身上,与
lender和title company无关.但是如果不买owner title insurance,lender title
insurance会涨很多,最后total倒差不了多少.
最后,作为一名agent,给客户错误的信息是最要不得了.希望七七能好好加强一下自己的
业务. |

。当然有时候由于各个数据库的不一致会导致，保险公司和贷款公司查出来的不一样。
如果房子被界定在属于100 YEAR FLOOD ZONE，如果你是贷款买房，银行就需要你买
FLOOD INSURANCE。在FLOOD ZONE的房子，买保险之前都会做个ELEVATION CERTIFICATE
， 具体FLOOD INSURANCE的保费是和这个数据有关的。我的理解是，这个CERTIFICATE
适用于界定你的房屋是高于还是低于海平面多少INCH。
如果你的房屋不在FLOOD ZONE,是否购买FLOOD ZONE的INSURANCE就属于自己的选择了。
一般都不会贵，一年三，四百吧。不过如果有些不在FLOOD ZONE的房子，进过水，而且
CLAIM过，那即使你买这种OPTIONAL的FLOOD INSURANCE,价钱也不会便宜。所以在房子
CLOSE前，最好找到保险公司详细了解一下。 |

but, I know that's not what you are looking for:) you need to ask for
additional coverage for your camera equipment.
ask your auto insurance company. generally it's cheaper if you buy renter's

again, it's all depends on your equipment.

For geico, I've asked the CSR about Q2, and they said even if
a person not on the insured drivers' list driving my car caused
an accident, the collision coverage still works.
For Q2, you definitely can add driver(s) to the insured drivers' list
(but this may cost you more insurance premium) who is(are) not
co-owner(s) of your vehicle. (I've confirmed that with Geico.)
However I'm not sure whether the owner can be absent from the list. |

life insurance不是一句两句说的清的。我觉得比较重要的几点。
1. 有的人公司有保险就觉得够了，其实没有意识到公司的保险一般是带不走的。如果
换工作之间出了事，没有保险就很麻烦，等等。建议自己另买。另外，如果老了以后，
离开公司后也没有保险了。到时候，即使想自己买也不一定能买到了。
2.年纪越轻越便宜，所以建议早买。大部分人60岁以后都买不起了。有的人觉得自己还
年轻，稍等等也不会贵哪里，但你不知道你将来的健康状况会怎样。知道有人年纪轻轻
，因为血压高卖不到保险的，或者保费很高。还是那句话，买得越早越好。
3.网上有很多关于买term还是买permanent的讨论，大家好像对permanent挺排斥的，觉
得买term+自己投资更好。其实也不尽然。不同的保险有不同的保障目的。应该是根据

by the insurance company for my at-fault accident is less than $1000, no
point will be added and my premium won't increase at all. But if I have
another small accident, point might be added and so goes the premium.
