和account review inquiries，大部分都是信用卡公司的pull，怎样知道这些是hard还
是soft。还有在account review inquiries里面还有我这申请car insurance时的quote
，不知道这些属于hard么？

800到1300。
学生不到1年的信用记录，FICO就700分多一点。开卡就5个月，花了差不多1万刀。平时
没啥gift card等刷卡，都是正常的开销，和旅游机票酒店啥。
过了两天了，也没收到karma和sesame的hard inquiry的通知，那就是soft inquiry了。
另外，发现某一次在citi网站上申请提额度，立刻获批的，但是居然还是hard inquiry
，不是之前很多人说的网站自己提出申请，立刻获批就是soft inquiry。倒是后来再一
次网站申请提额度，申请两次都悲剧，但是没有给hard inquiry，理由是具体上一次提

给customer service打电话让他们给你转接到上一级immigration officer那里，他们
可以查到具体的批准日期。
我当时是在查到approve的3个星期之后打电话的，打了N个电话有一个representative
帮我提交了inquiry，大概又过了半个月，USCIS处理了这个inquiry说是5天之内给
electronic的，10天之内给寄approval notice，但我还是没收到，于是又给他们打电
话，后来他们又给提交了一次inquiry，这次inquiry之后大概一个星期收到的approval
notice
如果USCIS处理了你的inquiry，你应该能在approved date那里看到日期被update了，
我的这个日期被update了两次
这期间不知道打了多少个电话，还去了一趟local office，被告知他们不处理这个case
，帮不了忙，只能继续打电话。感觉我这辈子打得最多的customer service就是这个了
，有个immigration officer也说他们还从来没接到过打这么多次电话的 |

去年11月485，三月份坐不住了，开始催。
联系众议员，没理我。
联系参议员A，A很快回复，说USCIS说我这个是正常处理时间，等。
打电话，以过了national avergage 4个月为由，打了几次，终于某好心level 2
officer说我这个case到officer手里了。
联系参议员B，B很快回复，附上USCIS一封信，说到了officer手里，等30天。
其后忽然感觉USCIS客服态度很好，出于练习英语的目的隔两天就打一个，有空就和
level 2聊，没空就只和level 1聊。
某天一个level 2忽然说我给你弄一个inquiry吧，就弄了一个，让我等15天，哪一天是
3月27号。
其后继续等，四月中，以没收到inquiry回复为由，继续骚扰客服，说我这个在
actively processing.
忽的看到某人说TSC followup email好使，发email，装作不知道inquiry结果，询问。

是信用卡还款情况，都是OK.
后面有一些Inquiries,包括（regular Inquiries, promotional Inquiries and
account review Inquiries),好像有一些银行/机构在定期要我的信用报告，这个正常
吗？ |

平时大家说的hard pull什么的，都没有看到，这个信用报告好短阿，主要是personal
information，然后satisfactory accounts（信用卡还款情况，都是OK）,然后一些
Inquiries（regular Inquiries, promotional Inquiries and
account review Inquiries)，就end了 |

1/17同一天申了三张CC, Chase家的，Discover家的，AMEX家的都有，全都
instant approve了。
目前就ALERT了AMEX家的Experian和一个不知道哪家的Pull(1/18)，其余的
都没有Alert。所有的Hard Pull都在Credit Report显示了。

今天打了CITI identityMonitor CSR. CSR的解释是最初CITI缺省只提供EXPN
的report和monitor, 但是客户可以选择升级到3个credit bureau at no
additional cost.
如果我没有记错的话，在1 month free的trial period，我是没有看到过3
credit bureau report的选项，这个应该是在我转为正式成员以后出现的。

1.申请新卡降低信用分不光是hard pull。开新卡也会降低平均account age，这个可能
影响分更多。如果你每天refresh信用分，你会发现刚申完卡信用分只降一点点，等新
卡第一个statement post之后分数降更多。对策是尽量不要关你的老卡。churn的时候
优先申请你会保留的卡。
2.freeze。如果大多数银行在你的州都pull一个bureau。比如说Amex，Citi和Chase在
我的州都pull Experian。你可以把你的某个credit report freeze起来。你申请的时
候就application就不会通过，然后你可以打电话过去让rep pull其他家的report。这
样可以把credit pull分散。注意Citi和Amex不会同意pull其他家的report。但是Chase
，BOA会。有的州freeze report要交几块钱。
3. Bump.Equifax和TU的hard credit pull可以用soft pull ＂bump＂ 掉。道理是他们

necessary process to let you move in.
However, credit inquiries only accounts for 10% of your credit score, you
don't need to avoid inquiries unless you are considering buying a car or
home in the near futuer. Inquiries can be kept up to 2 years, but the impact
to your score will be very little after 1 year. |
